Layoffs are a certainty, the fold in of Millennium is just the beginning. They needed a public lynching to go along with the stunningly bad financials to make it look like they have plan to control costs.

The screws will be turned over the next 12 months and positions eliminated. Yasu knows he fucked up this year big time, and so to save his reputation he's going to sacrifice a lot of good people. So much for "no more layoffs" ... dishonest liar like the rest of Takeda's leadership. They will save their own skin first.

Agreed. Thing continue to look damn good. Company did the right thing last week by dropping Edarbi out of our portfolio. Now it is time to beef up on Oseni and Amitiza and BLUNT the growth of Victoza and the launch of Linzmess. Nesina launch is going much better than expected, those reps will make some serious coin this quarter. Keep up the good work everyone, looking damn good right now!

Sorry you have to live in the past, but some people just can't face the realities of today & the future. The layoffs everyone knows are coming is in the future just nobody except upper level insiders at corporate has a general idea when. Dream on if you want to, but I am getting my resume up to date & will be ready when the time is here.

Expanded overall no. Maybe some groups expanded and there is a tiny special needs sales force But in my area we went from 5 sales reps in the territory a year ago to 3 now plus sharing the special needs rep with 2 other districts. No one was fired but when people left the bag mixes where shifted and the job slot disappeared. Have you seen more people listed in your regional list than last year, I doubt it, I haven't. Layoffs are definitely going to happen as our so called "new" products are not bringing in the revenue that corporate hoped for to keep staff levels at current numbers. Agree that there may be isolated hot spots where some reps may be doing a little better & those folks jobs may be a little more secure, but overall numbers are pretty dismal & costs have to be cut somewhere, so if your numbers are not close to you budget forecast then I would be very nervous. Corporate will probably give us another 6-8 months to see if we can work wonders & turn this around, but if that doesn't happen then at that time get for the axe to fall. Anyone who disagrees is just not a realist, but doesn't matter as only time will tell & when the end hits you shouldn't be surprised.
 




Those of you that have survived the two cuts, when you finally get cut; (and you will) will have to explain why are your numbers so poor and yet you did not get let go, WHY, TELL HOW YOU DID IT? Will your answer has be because I’m an ass kisser and a back stabber, or will you fudge the numbers? You poor A-holes are going to be selling hamburgers somewhere. So, congratulations for selling your souls for 2 years of extra salary, pathetic and worthless scum bags.
