The original VP of Sales for Keryx used same PIP crack-the-whip style "Strategery" back in the Spring of '15 during the first 9 months of the Auryxia launch (the beatings will continue until morale improves!). By end of September 2015 he had been ousted. He tried to blame the sales force for a failed launch when poor leadership, marketing, and managed care access were the real factors at play. They hired great reps, for the most part, but most struggled that first year due to factors beyond their control. High turnover under the first VP of Sales - reps were forced out or fired. A few got their numbers up and managed to buy themselves a few more quarters, and a few (very few) are still there. By 2016 there was a new VP of Sales at the helm who turned out to be just as diabolical as the first. He was ousted earlier this year. Perhaps Keryx is still a shit show, I don't know, but seems like Opko definitely is!
