Yup. Shire can track your every move. How? Donlen. Donlen utilizes the DriverPoint Telematics platform on their fleet vehicles. It tracks everything -- idle time, speed, location, etc, etc, etc. My gps device is under my drivers seat. If you vacuum your company car you'll find it. I had a guy who installs remote starters at a car shop look at it after I found it. For those not quite following along DriverPoint is also the name of the app on our iPad they had us download. You can delete the app and download it monthly to record the mileage but it doesn't directly interface with the gps device in the car. So deleting the app does nothing to turn off the device in the car.
Big Brother is always watching. Unless you're a rep who works 10-2 and only works close to home OR a manager who fudges field travel days on their calendars and does something else then I'd be concerned. Otherwise, if you do your job you have nothing to worry about!
Good Selling!
