GPS on company cars? cell phones? computers?

I would like to know more about Astellas in this respect as I am interviewing right now. Please someone answer honestly. Does Astellas employ that extreme level of Big Brother (gps tracking of cars, company computers, company issued cell phones?)?

If it is true then I am not continuing on with the process.

What is the GPS tracking technology on the cars? ONSTAR? Do they disclose to reps that they are tracking you?

What is the GPS technology technology on the laptops? Is it 3G? Are your calls with samples geo-tagged or something? Does the company flat out state that they are tracking you via GPS?

Please post the relevant information for me, as I am pretty neck deep in interviewing right now and I can tell you that this is a deal breaker for me. I just don't want to start asking these questions to the manager. I have a good work ethic, but there are those days in the year where you finish early, or have a personal appointment in the middle fo the day. IT HAPPENS FOLKS!! EVERYONE IN THE INDUSTRY IS INTHE INDUSTRY BECAUSE OF THE FELXIBILITY. IF YOU CRITICIZE ME THEN YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.

Please someone from within Astellas fill me in here. Is this thread bullshit or is this GPS tracking at Astellas for real?
 






One way to overcome GPS is to simply buy a GPS blocker unit for your car. They plug into the cigarette lighter and prevent reception of GPS signal for any GPS enabled device. SIMPLE!
 






Man! You people at Astellas must be terrified to answer my question. Does that say something? I think so.

DB, read the other posts about this company. No one wants to say anything cause maybe we don't want them to know just how much we are on to their game. "Tell me what you know" how in the he'll do we not know your Corp? Maybe ask the person your interviewing with. Just read the dame posts about this company.
 






So if you tell me that the company has an outright policy of tracking reps with GPS in the car and on the computers that they have to disclose to you under state and federal law then you will be telling corporate that you are "onto their game?" Are you mental?

I asked a simple question. I wanted a simple answer. I guess that is too hard for you.

Yes, we all have personal commitments. But you are really sweating bullets here... If you have good work ethics as you state, then just tell your manager you have personal matters to tend when need be. Simple and done! But if you want a free meal ticket - which sounds like what you seek, then look elsewhere and spare yourself!

Yes we all have personal lives and commitments, but if you're as ethical as you state you are, then just tell your manager you have other business to tend to when the time comes. You're not even hired and already want to take advantage of the situation right off the bat. Sorry - No free meal tickets here... It's people like you that give us hard working, dedicated employees a bad name. Is that specific enough for you?
