Got an offer!

Don’t do it, it’s not worth the risk. It used to be easy to do back in the day, but now a days you hear lots of stories of people getting caught.

After a brief discussion with my friend who has been an HR professional for quite a few years I have decided to just give my notice Monday morning and make it a short notice. Apparently, it's not as likely that Janssen will find out as it is more likely that were I ever to leave Janssen it would be READILY apparent on my next background check and probably cause me to lose my next opportunity after that. I'm pretty young and the chances of having to jump again or getting laid off and needing a new job at some point are high., THAT is what makes it not worth it at all. It was a nice thought while it lasted though!

exactly. Don’t do it. Not to
Mention the fact that it’s unethical if you have any ethics. The sense of entitlement by people these days is off the charts.

Odd to mention ethics a concern when you are switching to Jansen. They play up the Credo, but it’s just window dressing. Can’t count the unethical scams JnJ has pulled.

Yes, in a few years when you want to go to another company it would mess up your background check. ONLY IF you list Amarin on your experience. If you have enough years at Janssen maybe you can just leave Amarin off...... just a thought

I already gave a short notice and left. I am loving the bigger paychecks!

The car allowance IS taxable if your vehicle is out of compliance ..meaning more than 4 years old. I know this because I am being taxed but dont want to buy a new car given how layoffs are looming.
