To the poster from July 12th please check the sales numbers for Orthopedics. All regions are below quota for the year and CH if freaking out.
Is that DUI manager in the Midwest still around?

When the earnings get released later this month, if this is true about results, the reason CH is freaking out is because the board will have to look at replacing CH as CEO with the newest board member who was a top exec at Medtronic. He had two years now, and lets be honest, under his leadership this ship has continued to sink.
Only way they'll make the expected earnings number is to whack heads. Look for more layoffs and a move to outsourcing R&D, manufacturing, product management, sales support, etc., etc.

That's ancient news.
Can't stand the guy. Glad to see this come back up.
Who PM?
He is a joke
Sorry I mean jb not nb... Fat fingersi though nb was the gen surg, ad in Fl but he got a promotion? That is some nice scam... Decimate a team, no effort to rebuild or have any stake in success... Certainly not have any measurable results that can be attributed to you, the high tail it into another role... Seems to be a theme with some of the new managers career pathes.
No. The guy in the Midwest.
who wants to ask him about it at the NSM?

Great prediction, this has all happened, layoffs in Largo this week...every quarter there is a layoff. What a sad state of affairs to have so many peoples lives, families, retirement, to be ruined by poor decisions by the current administration. Mismanagement by current administration is killing us and ruining so many good peoples livesOnly way they'll make the expected earnings number is to whack heads. Same as it ever was with difference now being new leadership comes riding in with the air of supremacy with their resumes loaded with big company names. Some are not idiots, some frighteningly are (BP, JH). Most, if not all, are not used to actually doing much (get hands dirty) so they start barking out orders, etc. Without working to earn respect and trust of subordinates, they don't get results. Guess what, that means the subordinates must suck. Add in continued decline in sales yet higher costs as they pay the "new talent" so much more, and you get even more financial pressure than before. So, the subordinates must go. Due to financials, it's no longer just a replace talent, it's now get rid of 5 and only replace with 1 or 2. Remember, no interest in getting hands dirty (or capability issues) with less people to do the work, it's a challenging formula to say the least. If you have been here for awhile, you'll recognize the pattern. This time around, it's got the added stench of arrogance to it.
