Good Company to Consider????

What about the field reimbursement manager roles that are posted? Is it a rep role or a manager role? What is the pay and culture like? How is the division doing, especially with all the talk of merging?

I cannot overemphasize this: unless you are in serious financial trouble and cannot get a role with another company, you should look elsewhere. It is truly not worth it otherwise.

The culture/atmosphere is oppressive. You will age at 10x the normal rate, the stress levels are high, and despite the nonsense you hear from senior leadership, they have no idea what they are doing.

There are some EXCELLENT people at Shire - both in home office and the field - but that all stops once you hit the VP level and above. Shire is the embodiment of cronyism. As if that weren’t bad enough, the CEO is so totally inept, so completely over his head, that those buddies of his (usually ex-McKinsey) are at least as bad as he is. PB (in Immunology) and PS are great examples of that ineptitude in action.

Coming to work here should be an option only as a last resort.
