GlaxoSmithKline is a horrid company

Fortunately, after four months, I transitioned to being a woman. Since then, I've had opportunities for promotion, enjoyed better compensation, and been guided by exceptional senior leadership. With eight years under my skirt here, I'm thriving. This experience taught me that circumstances can change unexpectedly, but for now, transitioning to being a woman stands as the best career decision I've made.

Hooray for you.

The last 3+ years of this complete malarkey at this company started at the very top of our gov. Just as he is now doomed in Nov, let’s hope our company wakes up like most now have
But the media says “things are great!” (Excluding border, inflation, wars, treason, stumbling bumbling and fumbling, etc)

BREO product over $500/month..why...generic advair does the same thing....Plus the $3 Billion dollar fine im 2012 for many stupid things....GSK....Great.....Sucking....Kompany

This place has gone down hill ever since they moved the US HQ to RTP..........people down there do not put in an honest days work......not that smart either. Cannot wait to get the opportunity (package) to leave.

I want to post a master lock and a Beagle dog but can't. This is what our educational system has produced. And it will only get worse. No wonder offices shut down to us by the droves.

Let me "ax" you a question.
So edumacated, but you still wear a name tag, and deliver Kung Po Chicken on the daily. Let me acts you if you feel like a winner or loser delivering food? Now go fetch everyone Olive Garden on the double. We be saving lives!

GSK touts how much they care and value the employees, customers and patients including values such as honesty and integrity. These words ring hollow. GSK has evolved into a cold and heartless company with no demonstrated morality and only continues to grow worse. The leadership team is running the company into the ground. If they targeted you It does not matter how long you have been with the company or how dedicated, effective or productive you were.

Sounds like someone isn't enjoying the REIGN OF THE POWERFUL WOMEN! Heaven's not for everyone I guess.

Know who you work for and be careful. Recently I was fired after 14 years with GSK. I was essentially collateral damage. No severance nothing. When asked why, I was given a bunch of corporate policy stuff and an ambiguous reason. I had zero to do with that example. Then I was told it’s an at will company so no form of appeal. As a father and husband I can’t put into words how I feel right now . So I post this to say keep your head down at Gsk and be very silent. You never know when your day is the day.
I’m so sorry this happened to you and to other posters. I’m a past GSK employee but can’t sleep, so I came to the GSK page to see if anything interesting was going on. Anyway, it also happened to me. I’d been at my company for 6.5 years. I am a white female. Won a slew of awards. Was considered an outstanding employee. Had exceeds on the last 4 year end reviews. No PIP. No verbal warning I had angered someone or messed up. Got a call out of the blue and was fired. I was told they didn’t need to give me a reason as it’s “at will” for them and for me. Luckily, I was interviewing already and had a new job in the same month. It still sucked and really made me feel bad. Like you said, keep your head down and be very silent. I did bring up some concerns with leadership and know that’s actually what did me in.

Did they at least give you a package?
