Gilenia Review

You see that's why they don't hire you guys. Because you really have no clue what it takes to sell in this space. Without prior MS experience you will be eaten up and swallowed. I came over here from Biogen and I find it a joke what the training program is here. No one knows shit, and we are about to launch a major new therapy with a bunch of losers like yourself. The worst Biogen rep blows away the morons you are hiring here. Oh as for your "relationships" while they will get you in the door, they won't do shit to get your product prescribed like crazy. This is a clinical sell, and 2-5 physicians in each territory will drive the business. 90% of neurologists will not prescribe Gilenia, so they can tell you all they want that they will never use it, wanna know why asshole? Because they will refer it to an MS center. This is why you will be fired in 6 months and I will have a job for the next 10 years. Because you have no clue and I am god.

Clinical sell my ass. Thats a hot one coming a Biogen whatever. Biogen "reps" are/were experts at throwing cash around by masking it as anything but payoffs. And paying off an MS Center is no big deal. Grants, ISS, honorariums will do the trick. This is what passes for marketing in the MS arena. How else can you explain Avonex? The 2-5 quacks mentioned should do VERY well financially if Novartis follows suit and plays ball. Hey ex Biogen step up and tell them how its really done and you can turn your fellow so called morons into gods just like you. If not poor bastard err...god your going to have work for a living ie the clinical sell. Oral delivery may carry you for awhile but without the $$$$$$ to covert the key quacks then what. Neurologits are idiots and cash is king the perfect combo for a successful launch. Biogen wrote the book. You should know if you don't who's the loser moron.

This company should have hired the crappy little "Neuro" reps they have, as they would jump at a 90k base. In the big leagues of M.S., experience pays and any of us worth a damn won't even sit down with this company unless they are talking 110 - 140k base. To get the best, the managers at this company are going to have to swallow hard and pay their reps more than they or their manager peers make. Will they do it? Probably not! Welcome to the big time, Novartis. You are now competing with biotech companies willing to pay salespeople what they are worth (total package 150 - 250k a year, or 7 or 8 patients on drug). Most "big pharma" reps don't have the balls to get paid like this, so they sit back and take their 60k + 15k in bonus and brag to all their girlfriends.

substantial safety issues, lots of follow-up commitments, plus most patients won't be able to take it - it's going to be hard to sell this one. Tysabri reloaded.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Except for one small part. Tysabri has better #'s in every parameter. So if your going to put a pt at risk you might as well put them on the best agent. In Southern Cal the feedback from docs has not been that good. They have told me many pts are asking about going on and their response is , let another doctor be the guinea pig cause it isn't going to be me. At least their honest with me. Back to crappy extavia for now. Bye

Tysabri will never have more then 8% of the market. Avonex is losing share every year. Why is Biogen so afraid of FTY if the drug sucks. I have docs with 40 people ready to go on. You should be happy patients have another option MS is a shitty disease but a fool like you is more worried about getting paid.

Once Teva, Serono, Biogen and Bayer are done with your doctor, that 40 will quickly become 4. These are neurologists remember that.

Calling bullshit on this. Teva does not pay that! BIIB has seasoned reps that are getting that money but they are burnt out. Serona....maybe but Pfizer (not so much). The issue is most of the biotech companies don't have the "best of the best anymore". Get over yourself.

You just don't get it: the PRODUCT is crappy (not sure if we ever gonna launch it, I heard something ...) plus the CLINICAL TRIALS were done sloppy. Big trouble ahead - better get your resume out.

While u agree Gilenia will be crap, let's not get silly here. The FDA advisory committee made a recommendation to approve 25-0. While the clinical trials weren't award winning they still were published in the NEJM. The trials were more than adequate. This durg will absolutely get approved in the coming months. Stop scaring the salesforce for no reason.

what is scary is that they don't tell us the whole/real story

It is amazing to hear you reps down each other and the drugs as well. I am a person on Gilenia and was in he study. All and I do mean ALL drugs have side effects, for me the possiblity of having a drug I could take orally as opposed to giving myself a shot twice a week or what ever was and is a better choice for me.

Yes, there will be more side effects that come to the surface because a larger base will be using the drug. If you are not a suffer of MS or have someone in your family who has it, you cannot understand the significance of this drug.

I can only hope that Novartis does pay their reps what they are worth and let them take a glimpse into the lives of MS patienst like myself.

Thanks so much for being honest and I hope Gilenya changes your life in a positive way.

Just call Obama's end of life counselor and get off the rep's site
