Germany has signed off on the changes - It will be BIG

Interesting that fleet vehicles ordered in the fall have been held up. A few that ordered immediately received theirs and others have been waiting for months. That says something to me.

There is NOTHING to this. The order got screwed up and the vehicles are coming.
All this talk about cutbacks is just that: talk. My DM assured me that there will only be some minor token layoffs. And those will be handled with respect and a generous severance package, like 4 weeks per year of service. Only caveat he mentioned is that if you signed an NCA you cannot work in pharma for 2 years. Don't think that will effect anyone.

Thank you, I thought those negative posts were BS.

LOL got new fleet car last week. So what all the negativity is about. Have heard zero about any cutbacks

If you haven't heard anything about cutbacks, you did not watch the state of the business replay. In sales some areas of the country will be more impacted based on access. You may be in a part of the country where customers will see you.

Yes. Watch the replay. Clearly stated twice there will be elimination and consolidation of jobs. New jobs may be created that you can "apply for" if you think you are qualified. If your DM says nothing to worry about, they either have their head in the sand or are just trying minimize distraction.

How do you think they will decide who will get cut from sales?
Hard to answer. Depends on many factors. Local market or segmentation, current number of existing reps, roles that are deemed more impactful. Some areas affected heavily and others not at all. Won't be one determining factor like tenure etc, that would leave them at risk for lawsuits. Sounds like they are trying for a true reorganization not just lip service to ease impact of layoff

This is very interesting because diabetes and pulmonary are not specialty drugs!!!! Even the CV specialty is a hybrid position! So please tell me why do you want to spend more money on a position will very little roi??? Why are we paying twice the bonus on the same doctors but different levels are calling on them. For example we have 4 different cv reps getting payed on the same cardiologist because they have different offices on different sides of town so the overlap....are you kidding me. I could go on and on.

I think positions will be hybrid. The strongest rumors are for smaller territories with one rep doing everything. Don't think of current territory boundaries. Specialty reps are likely to be placed first is all.

The main impact will be to primary care. If you are in a specialty position, you are more likely to be kept, but the job description will probably change.

I think this poster is on target. My DM alluded to the 'possibility of some cuts' and then said as we are in specialty we will not be impacted. I feel for the rest who are in primary care.

I love it when people say my DM told me we are okay because we are in Specialty. How does your DM know what is about to happen when even your RD doesn't know?

No kidding. Last time around, 2009, DMs didn't know until the last minute and were then given a script to read, then had to sit around the next day and have the script read to them.
