Genzyme in charge?

What I would like to know is why the former Genzyme Genetics gets to be in charge of the Oncology division. They weren't exactly stellar on their own and now they are mucking things up for what's left of USL/DIANON.

GG is in control since Labcorp paid more for GG than USL and GG was growing business and USL was loosing clients left and right. Look at how much USL busines was lost over the years after labcorp bought them under USL control. Leadership had to change or all of the USL business would have been lost.
Dianon is now under control of Labcorp so don't bunch them in with the USL people, when USL controlled Dianon most of the Dianon business was lost as well. I guess Labcorp had enough of the USL and Dianon lost business under the USL people thay had to make a change. Do you think they would have let the GG be controlled by USL people and let that business go South as well. USL was in control of two companies and they both failed so no way were they going to let them control a third and watch it tank.

yes, but the ultimate decision maker is still Labcorp. We are already feeling it. Selling only on price, not quality. Also, many exceleent and strong reps and DM's have already left. And finally what about the rumors about closing the NY City site and moving everything to Raritan, NJ or Herndon, Va???

Herndon, Va... now that's funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its all labcorp now, dont call it anything else. It on the email, the business cards, the advertisements. The longer LCA owns you the more your original company dies off. Its the only way it can be.

The NY lab has been the cornerstone of our business in the north/south east. what a huge mistake that would be. Another bad decision made by lab corp. let's start from the beginning...(please excuse the possibly error in order, bad decisions tend to run into one long day)

1) lay off GG reimbursement dept
2) leave tons of open reqs for unfilled jobs across multiple labs
3) close tampa lab
4) courier conversion to lc

Fill in where I have left off...

not only GG reimbursement layoffs, other admins as well. Marketing dept. and higher uppers are back in the Westboro building at 3400, they lay off admins others so the marketing executive admins can have there positions. Everyone is very sneaky, they lay off some admins and other good workers and do not offer severance like they did with billing layoff. All sneaky mother f'ers.

WTF GG/Lab Corp is now Integrated Genetics. Whats the matter Lab Corp? You have to be sneaky calling yourself a different name. Before Genzyme Genetics it was called Integrated Genetics. Sneaky! You afraid the clients/patients will find out who is really doing the tests...low grade, cheap, sloppy testing.

The honeymoon is over. The dismantling and degradation of GG has begun just like the labs that were purchased before it. Don't kid yourself sister LCA is ALWAYS in control. They suck the life blood out of successful labs. Let's see how your numbers look after the 1st quarter. Your tanking now too......

LOL: GG was growing business? I don't think so. Lost sales were backed out of reps #'s to allow them to make a little bit of money by attaining plan and making it seem like growth. But overall there was little or no growth. Get real. Wake up. You seem to have a beef against USL. Not quite sure why but if you look at innovation and hempath expertise USL has and always will blow GG away in terms of overall quality, medical staff, client services and out of the box thinking. GG hurried to market with iscope and iflow as a response to USL's superior virtual offerings. The only thing GG did well was solid tumor testing and you had no oncology office based testing to speak of. And let's face it. Labcorp in NC does solid tumor testing just fine which makes GG expendable. So Mr. know-it-all my prediction is that GG's days in NY and LA are numbered because there is no need for duplicity of testing and having physical labs located in the high-cost markets in big cities. You are toast!

Well said! Bravismo!

Why did companies like Clarient, Genoptix, Genpath and other Oncology labs have double digit growth over the past few years and useless labs sales were flat?
Why do you think Labcorp put someone else in charge?

LabCorp causes the flat sales. Once usl was tied to lca they were sunk, reps, managers and clients left in droves. All the smart people left, just like the smart GG reps with better options.Just watch what lca's billing team and client service team does to GG business.

Well said. How many posts have to keep explaining this. Now wake up an smell the coffee.

There are LCA folks leading the integrated oncology division. Nobody and I mean nobody is in the driver seat from the former gg side. People are utter and complete morons I swear.

PN, RP and DM had no idea of how to run a lab or what to do to keep sales on line. they lost all of the uslabs and dianon business not labcorp. That is why they put GG in charge they did not want a repeat of that disaster.

Now that Genzyme has a name change to Integrated Genetics, so why is that ?

You know why, it is simply the LabCorp has such a bad name they do not want to be related to LCA.

Customers are not stupid !

Oh yeah, by the way .... one nice thing that did come out of the purchase on Genzyme, they have lost their agreement with Aetna !

Way to go guys !

This has got to be the dumbest Company I have ever worked for !
