You could be right that the deal with Flemming is structured this way. I don’t know about any ongoing search but the company has probably retained a leading search firm.Flemming is just staying until he completes the post-IPO agreement that requires him to stay on for a while after it was completed.
I heard there is a quiet search going on already and that he’s part of the hiring committee. This is all I know.

All of their positions got replaced for the 5th time in as many years. Absolutely insane. The state of affairs is so bad that the HR guy is on short term disability from getting a stroke and the new HR guy is panicking. All you need to do is ask if this is untrue.
