First solo launch

I little disappointed with base salary @ 195. An ultra rare disease space representatives command closer to 225. Also, no company car and only 750 and reimbursement for work related gas. Little cheap there too.

Seriously, what did you expect? This company has been around for decades, the drug brings little to no differentiation from the existing products and they can get folks from other companies selling in HAE fairly cheap. And, no new commercial organization gives company cars. Not sure why you would want one. Although 750 is pathetic! The average is now about 950-1100 for small startups. This place has bad culture written all over it.

That is very narrow minded of you. There were over 1000 + applicants for 18 roles and this company has been growing at a RAPID pace with a very small HR/Recruiting team. They don't funnel your resume through workday like the majority of other companies where they only spit out a few resumes per territory based on ultra defined criteria, they HR actually reviewed them all individually and connected with candidates that had the closest criteria the hiring managers wanted for their team. So don't be insulted bc you did not get a call- there are tons of Pharma companies that never even call and send you a rejection letter with a week bc a computer identified you as no qualified enough. They have highly sought after directors who had a lot of people who reached out to them directly and many internal company referrals that played a large role in getting face to face. I would not say that was a failure! to join an strong well established pharma company these days is hard to find and one with the pipeline and culture of Ionis- you should be so lucky. Glad you didn't apply we are better off without your negativity here.

Who is doing the recruiting? I haven't heard anything yet. Did they just start?

I'm curious why you think it's a failure. From what I understand, the data looks great for the product. And the likelihood of another indication will really get their money worth. The pipeline looks good too.
Agreed only the stupid need not apply. If you are reading and paying attention you will want to come. Don't let those who are disgruntled deter you from applying.

Might be the most ignorant comment on the board. Stick with your big pharma/primary care gig.
Totally agree. I am so tired of this big pharma entitlement. Good luck finding reliable BIG pharmaceutical companies that will give you a sweet ride and all the bells and whistles you expect and then not lay you off in a year. You'll come back with your desperate deflated head and take anything we give you at that point but unfortunately, those smart non- entitled folks will have taken all those openings leaving you nothing. Go away big pharma entitlement

Do your research we are not here to help you prep for you potential interview
Of course, we would prep of the interview googling the OASIS Study and the OLE, DUH!!!

YOU CLEARLY DON’T YOU SELL in this space, anyone can google. I asked about when the HAE patient gets to steady state, etc. I’m fishing for answers
I’ll help you with your research!!!

Donidalorsen has underwhelming efficacy, so steady state matters and so will the coverage. It’s a crowded market already with a prefilled syringe from Tak that has a high percentage of once a month dosing. Orladeyo efficacy is a joke and has gained market share because it’s a pill and the side affects are bearing down on a toilet sear and abdominal distress. It’s only written cuz they give it away and it’s a pill. Tak is market leader with great efficacy and great coverage. Plus, there is Haegarda which is an Amazing product, too. Lastly, Andemby by CSL is coming to market before Donidalorsen and is a Once Monthly AUTO INJECTOR with amazing efficacy.

Anyone I’ve ever interacted with from the company were very friendly and you could tell they loved working for IONIS.

Agreed on the 750 for a car, even Octapharma gives like 1,000. Wear and tear on your car, 750 won’t cut that, especially with a large territory. I’ve done the large territory and you run the car into the ground.
