Feet question

Before people jump down my throat, yes I know that biotech is all about how products are created...but in a way it's also a mentality a standard and culture. Look at how other great biotech companies operate and treat their employees. You'll find that is not the same here. There's a wannabe culture here but it's not the same it's not in the fabric but in name only.

I've worked for two other large companies in my career and this is nowhere near. In the past employees were valued and work life balance was entwined and engrained in the culture. Vacation was almost forced if you didn't take it, and the work life balance was embraced. Community and service were in the forefront where employees were encouraged to give and given time off to volunteer. Every meeting there was free time and a scheduled event for team-building, as well as a service event built in..
Here it's all about packing in as much as possible and mindless repetition.
. no free time, no service, just go go go and the weekend meetings some have (thank god not my division) is shameful..shows a sincere lack of care for family and employees. This is what I mean when I say that Shire is NOT BIOTECH. RIP BAXALTA
This is a very normal person posting reasonable dissatisfaction with this organization and not a "fired troll". I agree with everything you say here.

Do Shire employees ever voice their concerns over things like this? Unless Shire has a lot of reps that have not worked at another company or Shire is simply a "DO WHAT WE SAY" company, if people aren't happy, it should be addressed. If Shire's attitude is "don't like it then leave", the company will self destruct soon enough.

"If you don't like it leave" seems to be the Shire way
