FDE offers

First of all, don't down play the FDE positions. A high percentage of these positions go full time. The FDE positions are being filled by all sorts of internal employees, from ex-managers to hospital reps to neuro reps. All who have lost their current territory or who are afraid of of the half-life or their current territory. As far as Lilly is consider, Diabetes is a decent place to be (could be even better if the FDA didn't hate Lilly). They will not be getting a cut in pay (not much anyway), it's just a job with a better half-life. Once you get in with Lilly you too will have this benefit, but that's were the challenge lies. Honestly, best of luck, 1 in 5 will be in!

So with the internal transfers, once someone moves positions, dont their positions become available? Theres only so many people to fill so many spots! ? Is this not true

Why are there so many clowns that make foolish postings in here? If you don't have anything factual to post or useful, then don't.

I learned a long time ago to not get too excited and hopeful until something really happens. Ah, the Exuberance of youth... You may been good and wanted a shiny red fire truck for Christmas but never get too hopeful until you have opened the presents and confirmed what is really in the packages.

Lilly has outsourced everything including HR and the screening & hiring processes so it is screwed up and they all really have no idea what is going on. The "HR reps" may not really be "Lilly" people and are so young that they have no idea what is going on. Many may have never been through a hiring process before.

When Lilly is cutting 5500+++ people and hiring FIXED DURATION EMPLOYEEs (i.e Temps) what makes anyone believe that very many are going to get hired into full time positions? It's just a carrot they hang in front of people so that they spend their time and effort going through the whole crazy "process" that they are running by the seat of their pants and then work your tails off trying to grab that carrot.

So, bottom line - You will find out when you find out. Good luck to all of you who are desperate for jobs. It's nice to see your excitement but temper the excitement with the fact that it is an FDE job. Continue to make plans for a change in 1-2 years. Take care of yourself and families. Don't hang your entire life & future on a hope that you may get a permanent job at Lilly. A full time job at Lilly isn't what it used to be anyway. Most people at Lilly are looking for a way out as it has turned into an absolutely terrible stressful backstabbing environment in the last 10 years. The odds of getting hired full time are low and will get lower unless Lilly gets more products on the market. Even if you do get hired it not enjoyable.

Some people play with you, but some people have given honest advice. Take it or leave it.

Now back to some good Lilly bashing! FIPNET is a failure! Outsourcing to China & India has destroyed Lilly and is destroying America!

I called today and was told still being considered but they couldn't really tell me anything as to when offers would go out. Believe me, I asked. They also said to keep checking in and to watch email because that is how they usually communicate.
