Fanapt Falls Flat! Link from the Street.com

Got laid off from Novartis over two years ago. Still working big pharma (I know, I know) but I was just curious how Fanapt is doing these days?

Been in pharma a long time. I`ve sold all types of drugs from market share leaders to the 2nd & 3rd line drugs with low market shares. there is no rhyme or reason to which drugs give you the best jobs. when I sold market leaders, I was in a micro mangaged and metrics happy culture and was not happy. bottom line its about getting a high base salary and working in a culture that fits your life style.

Former Novartis rep here who launched Fanapt and was laid off in December 2010. Sorry to hear about the latest round of layoffs this past week. Just curious, is Fanapt even being promoted anymore after this latest round of cuts?

Note to those who were just laid off. I was hired by another pharma company and I am still with them to this day three years later. Be positive and search for a job Monday-Friday from 9 to 5. Take the weekends off and spend with family. Use every contact you can think of, from former coworkers to Linked In to Facebook. Networking will lead to new job success!

Honestly, I am glad I am gone. Selling Fanapt and Exelon Patch in a huge territory is like fingernails on a blackboard! I have a nice severance package and plenty of time to find a new job! It is actually exciting!

I am working hard at finding a new job but so far no luck. It is tough when you are over 50! I am so thankful I have always lived below my means and saved well.
