NO! absolutely NOT! it's obvious that the 14 billion lymphocytes that are lost in the process of making Provenge are valuable, and losing them is HARMFUL. What is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? The only thing MORE harmful than Provenge was the "placebo" treatment (losing 20+ billion lymphocytes).

Why was age prognostic in these trials (including the Provenge arm), when it has NEVER been prognostic in this population previously?
Why does provenge work less well in younger patients, when these are EXACTLY the patients you would expect it to work BEST in?
Has Dendreon ever give us evidence that depleting lymphocytes from old people with PC is SAFE? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Come on guys! Provenge is an enormous class action lawsuit (from patients (or their families) this time, not shareholders) that's just WAITING TO HAPPEN. Line up another job while you have the chance.

You wonder why April sales were in the toilet? Maybe the Reuters article on March 30th about the flaws in the Provenge trials had something to do with it.

This "data" comes from a former Hedge Fund Analyst that shorted DNDN $1,000,000. She has no medical training and did participate in any trials...EVER. She is not a scientist, she is bitter and angry, perhaps understandably. The medical Community is based on Evidence Based Medicine. You cant draw any conclusions from retrospective subset analysis. It is not done in the medical community. Which is why it was published in an obscure bush league journal. Ms. Huber went to school in England where this paper was published. Perhaps an old cronie "owed" her a favor because this is Bush League garbage at best. At least present the total picture of the immune system. Less than 2% of cells were removed and those are turned over in 24-48 hours. Some might argue this in itself stimulates the immune system. Provenge however targets Prostate Cancer cells. This technology won the Nobel Prize last year and tarnishes Dr. Ralph Steinman's efforts in immunotherapy. Ms. Huber, Your grudge on Your bad decision to short DNDN is preventing some men from living longer! Im sorry you lost so much money but, Shame on You. THere are 3 Phase 3 studies, 20 years and over $1,000,000,000 invested in this paradigm changing agent.
