Considering it was mentioned on the earnings call ...Myth or rumor?
Put that in your OC pipe and smoke it!On the Earnings call, they stated that Rayladee needed 80% insurance coverage BEFORE an expansion. Since Rayaldee is really at 32% coverage, it could be awhile.
The rumor is being spread so people don't jump ship. How long would you really cover a 2 state territory when you are going to receive $4500.00 in commission? It is I'm possible for the company to reach the 4000 prescription goal in this half of the year, Crack pipe dreams.
Very sad.

Have you taken a look at our patients? $120 or $1200 or $120000, it is still unaffordable for a retiree. Nothing will change until the "R" word occurs. The hell I'm talking about is a day after you posted it's going to take awhile to get 80% coverage, it took one day.
120 is a lot better than 900.
$120? Might as well be $12 million. That is no victory.Might be a quick reversal here.
Looks like the 80% coverage initiated today. Several national health plans have gone from $900 to around $120.
Anyone care to speculate how that will effect the sales team in the short term, before expansion? Sounds like opportunity to me.

Thanks Cowboy!I hope they don't expand! That means we will have more excuse makers and more reasons why we can't get more business. I have never been part of a company like this!
11:00 am EST. Glad it wasn't scheduled during the busy part of the day!Guess we will all find out tomorrow on the town hall call. Is this what the call is supposed to be about?
You are correct. The "expansion" rumor is being spread so people don't leave and continue to drive their 5 hour / 2 state territory plus it keeps the "wanna be" manager types in line that they will final get their dream come true - a manager / reimbursement / NAM job.
There are many people here that believed the hiring managers when they said that OPKO would expand in April 2017 and there would be "management opportunities". Many people bet their lively hoods and took paycuts to come to OPKO because of the golden carrot. I feel bad for them that they believed them. The lies began before we were even hired.
OPKO is NOT Agmen.
OPKO's sales force is 1/16 of Amgen's sales force.
OPKO did not launch Rayaldee with any type of coverage much less Medicare Part D across the country.
OPKO's marketing department is one guy whereas Amgen had 7 people to launch Sensipar.
OPKO does not have the resources ($$$$$), manpower (7 MSLs, 4 NAMS, and 35 RSSs) to have a launch similar to Amgen/Sensipar. So WHY does Froster keep comparing us to Amgen?
