Expansion territories

All territories were affected by the expansion, so we are really expansion territories. If you haven't been affected you will be.

So a new territory that consist of two hospitals and has been called on for years by multiple reps at nauseam is an "expansion" territory. There isn't a cardiologist of any sort who hasn't been pitched this high priced underwear...

Run as fast as you can for this shit hole company. I have been one year and am THE last one standing in my two state region. Eight people left. I have had territories turn over three times in that year. My awesome manager was way smarter than the regional manager. She left. He then hired the biggest dork with no experience that he could find who immediately called one of the biggest EP doctor in the country dude. I almost crawled in a hole.

They will not pay you. I made 130,000 last year. This year they split my territory 3 times and did not adjust my revenue. I will make base only. My fit quota is out of control.

At this point it is a part time job for the base pay. I have been telling every friend I have who has been contacted by a recruiter to never work for Zoll.

Very typical of Zoll. Work your butt off and they will continue to jack up your goals so you won't make money in the future. Keep increasing the goal and cutting your territory in half or more.Just wait until they reset goals in the next few months. FYI,They don't go down. What RD would hire a RM with no or little experience? Everyone should know to stay away from this company unless you are VERY desperate. You will not make money and you will sell your sole to the devil and will lose any and all respect that your Cards had for you.

overpriced and oversold but it does work

you sound like one of those dumbass recruiters pitching this thing with the line, "it works 98% of the time" In addition to every cardiologists being pitched this thing, there isn't a recruiter out there that hasn't tried to fill these positions..being a recruiter now has the same stigma that pharma reps have...useless suits with an expense account...way too many former sales people who couldn't sell, now trying to take advantage and get a cut out of some one getting a job....pathetic

Not true, I was given my quota while at training. Plenty of time for me to do the math and evaluate and realize I was f*%ked.

Just must mean you can't sell. This job is an outstanding opportunity to make decent money, and I can tell you one thing, it is far BETTER than PHARMA. AND one of the ONLY ways a specialty pharma rep will ever pull their head from their A** and learn how to sell. The industry is tanking, and if a pharma rep makes over 100K your over paid, and your company will eventually find a way to get rid of you. Figure it out, this company welcomes your background and provides you the bridge to improve your career and put you in front of Cath Lab and EP lab docs and staff. The experience and money are invaluable. You can make 150K or more. No offense but that's a damn good living.

$150k to $200k was the norm years ago. Now if you make $150 they will do to you as you described about pharma. They will find a way to replace you just as they have replaced the people who put Lifevest on the map years ago and thanks to those people you now have a job. There is no more selling of this device. All the selling has been done, now there are a bunch of overpaid order takers and paper chasers running around in zoll scrubs. Territories that were covered by one rep are now covered by four reps. You are all very welcome. BTW, exceptions are nothing more than an excuse not to pay you commissions.

Are you saying that 50%+ of current Zoll reps can't sell? That's how many are NOT making quota or bonuses.

So I had a really good year last year. My awesome manager left and now 3 months into the new micro dude 2 of us (year plus experience) were both put on 30 day improvement plans. Run as fast as you can from these people.

Newbie here and so far it's neither great nor terrible, just an average DME company.

Yes, you are new. Come talk to me wen you are starting your 2nd year and you see your quota and where you have to be during and at the end of year two. You will be running like everyone else, or put on a plan like everyone else. Maybe you're starting to get the picture that it is ok wen you start but the quota grows out of control. Lets see if you are still here next year and what you think then.

Just put on a plan after one year here. Blew out my #s and now my ding bat manager who just started thought that is what motivates a great salesperson. I can't leave fast enough!
