I'm sure that BI has to supply the home charger....why would anyone do it otherwise? Not sure how much they are but I'm not spending my own electricity for a work car.
Shoot, I'll take one. My Amgen neighbor has a Tesla dual motor and gave me the skinny. First, fleet identifies employees living in metro areas that drive 300 miles or less per day, his Tesla has range of 328 miles with a full charge. To order, you cannot be a renter but there are exceptions. The company paid to install a home charger and for permits. If you quit, you just got a free home charger. The home charger/car monitors kilowatt use automatically and you get an electronic deposit each month, no need to submit a receipt or expense report. They simply check the current kilowatt per hour rate with your local utility carrier. Do NOT try to charge another EV car you might own, they will know. If you need to charge in the field, just plug into a charger, it's auto billed to fleet.
When he met the criteria, fleet didn't force him to take the EV, he could still order a gas car. Here's the kicker in his situation and other pharma companies - for optics, they want to demonstrate carbon neutral tactics. Therefore, they deemed this a "pilot" and offered FREE personal mileage for 2 years! No more fudging those family trips folks.
BI, I'll take a free home charger, free personal mileage, and a dual motor Tessie, let's do this!
