Everyone needs to take a chill pill!

Listen everyone: most people don't like change. I think we all get that. But really! If you haven't noticed, pharma is nothing but change--dramatic change. So it's probably a good idea for everyone to just take a step back, calm down and let DSI do what it needs to do to give 90% of it's sales force the best chance it can for long-term survival in what has become a killing field of an industry. And, if you can't handle the stress the comes along with this type of change, you should probably be in a job that provides more stability, like working in a toll booth or behind the counter of a 7-11. Sorry, but there are a lot in the sales force who need a wake up call to reality.

If you truly believe that 90% of us will still be here then you are...well let me spell it out for you...A D-U-M-B-A-S-S!!! Remember when they said "oh it's just a realignment, there will NOT be layoffs"... Ha! Maybe instead of believing all that crap and trying to bless us all with your beloved "chill pill" shit, maybe you should have been checking out Monster.com...just sayin

I can see you're able to spell. Good for you. But why the anger? You do know that you work for a corporation, correct? You also know that you are employed to serve a purpose, which is to create revenue. This is your role. The role of senior leadership is to create as much profit as possible from that revenue by maximizing the efficiency of the organization.

The reason for the reorganization/"CEM" is to (finally) depart from the disasterously inefficient sales model we're currently in--aligned teams with parallel lines of leadership--to a much more efficient structure. If the determination today is that DSI has 10% of fat that can be cut, so be it. If the determination tomorrow is that DSI has 50% of fat that can be cut, then so be it. That's the reality of working for a corporation. All talk of culture, quality of life, employee loyalty, etc., is simply part of the package to attract and keep talent (employees), much like car choices, paid vacation and health benefits; when that talent (employees) is determined to no longer be necessary, then it will be let go.

Now, if you're angry because you can't understand this, then you very much need to wake up and see the world for how it is. And, if you can't accept this reality, then go find a job where you can control your own future. Until then, try to accept that DSI needs to do this to give it the best chance to remain competitive in a very challenged future. And just think: if you can prove your worth to DSI, you may get to be part of that future. But remember--there are no guarantees!

The people that need a call to reality are the higher ups in charge of this layoff. They are clearly a bunch of morons who are good at reading a public relations script and nothing else. Don't tell the sales force there is going to be a layoff, give them more work, and then inch them along week by week waiting to hear of their fate. Anyone with half a brain should be looking for the exit door and realizing this company is run by a bunch of morons. No one is motivated anymore and anyone working more than the bare minimum clearly has been infused with kool-aid thinking they have a chance at survival. I give this company two years max before they are bought out. So screw you mr. Reality check, this place blows.

Look sweetheart, please don't talk to me about efficiency. Judging by the recent RD layoffs, the upcoming layoffs will not be based on performance and efficiency but on butt smooching ability.

hey moron go milk your cow

Is it me, or did the Azzburryz already have an idea the position he left from was going to be terminated? or maybe it was just based on seniority to why Campell got the boot? What ever the reason may have been Campell was a good man.

We will all find out when we find out. Does it even matter? What's done is done. If you can't take the suspense, then get your resume ready and look elsewhere. There are other places for employment. This is why it is always good to work as hard as you can and prove yourself. It makes people value you during a trying time.

"prove yourself"? You're obvoiusly a rookie rep with personal issues and a chip on your shoulder. I bet you even won Gold Cup. You have less than five years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. How am I doing? Am I right?

What the poster was refering to was the obvious connection between performing well within your current role (proving yourself) so that making the jump to a new position will be that much easier. Unless that rep is you, who probably "proved yourself" by floating around the bottom of the rankings, have no awards or recognitions to speak of and burned most of your bridges with DM's (hint: think references for future employers). I'm also going out on a limb and guess you also didn't get any letters of recommendations from your docs for future positions. Am I right?! How am I doing here!?! r*****.

Oh wow look how cute defending some person you dont even know. I want to say you are a DM but you sound more like a wanabe DM. "Letters of recommendation from your docs" Lmao It's people like you that make me shine!

Too funny. "Prove yourself" by leaving fairy-tale success stories, raising your hand at POA's and winning the lottery of formulary coverage in your state. Let's see what happens to the "proven" reps in Medicaid-heavy states now that Benicar/Azor rankings no longer include Medicaid Rx and it is more of an even playing field.

Shine? Got your little sparkly dress on and butterfly wings? It's people like you who will be shitcanned from this company and continue to make a mediocre living wasting away in primary care sales while the rest of us, who have actually built up our resumes on our time here and have the numbers and references to prove it, will be laughing at you signature collectors. But that's cool, I'm sure you're thrilled having a 65K salary with a phat 3% increase every year. Keep on shining lunchbox.

As the person said in not so many words most of the haters are overpaid to begin with. Just working hard whether you get commission or not does get recognized. It's not all about managed care wins, awards, etc. Sometimes people get noticed just for doing their job despite the obstacles they face day to day.

I'm the "prove yourself" rep and no I didn't win a gold cup.

WOW! You wrote all that crap and you didnt even get lucky and win a Gold Cup? Listen if you truly are working as hard as you can every day and havnt one any awards then it's time for you to find another job. What are you proving to yourself? That you suck!

And for Poster 21, if you are working hard and are not making commissions then you suck too!

Dont mean to be a prick about it but be real with yourself people. When it comes to awards Gold, Platinum, trip, whatever, I understand some people get lucky. For other people it may be easier for them because of Managed Care or something else But make no mistake about it that more than half of those top performers have gone above and beyond to earn those awards. They're kinda like pharma geeks if you will.
