Ethicon takeover of synthes

Carpenter is powerless to anything to help even if he wanted. As was said earlier in this thread, he's in career preservation mode just coasting into a nice retirement. It's funny, I would never expected that he'd be the last man standing. All the original Synthes brass were exited but some how KC escaped the same fate. It's not a result of his advanced skills, keen intellect or pedigree education. He outlasted everyone because he adapted to the JNJ way of doing business which is polar opposite to the way Synthes was built. Some say he sold out but change was inevitable with him or without him. He made the best choice for himself given he probably had few if any options where to move his career.
 






His survival and adaption is honestly nothing short of a miracle. If you asked me 10 years ago if he would have survived and adapted in this way I would have said zero chance. Hat's off to Ken for making it, regardless of how you might feel about him then or now, it's impressive.
