Ethicon Endo Surgery

all you need to know is the comp plan , and how to protect your business. Very hard to incrementally grow. Great place to be from , great training , but not worth the pay. Granted i have a much larger salary than you and i am not going anywhere been here to long. Listen , learn , and never ask questions in any type of group setting , and never complain and always agree with your boss .

And trust nobody in this company because the atmosphere is toxic.

play the game and get out after two years. you will learn a lot and make some great relationships.

the politics at ees are unreal! dont trust anyone and never talk negative about anyone/anything. send out emails that have your name attached to attachments and always talk about successes you have had in the field during meetings. kiss as much ass as possible. i think that sums it up.

No one from EES is going to Ethicon Products. They would have to be severely retarded to do so. EP has a base of 45K - 50K vs 75 - 95 at EES. EP's 2011 Commission at plan is 55K. Not sure what EES plan is but I know they make 135 - 165k total comp. At least the three that work with me do.

EP 2012 variable comp at plan is $95k. Base is only higher at endo because there is so little room for growth in their 3 accounts as their business is driven by contracts. It's more of an account manager job as opposed to actual sales. Plus they are losing energy from their bag and will be left with only trocars and cutters. Not a bright future for endo reps.

Newer Energy rep here.
Started in march. 1st full Half H2- bonus will be $44k. Hit all three buckets no problem.

If you put the time in and actually work you will make that $135K +!!

New Energy Rep there . Is this your first real job out of college, how long have you been with EES . DO you realize we have executive reps that make that on a salary. , Yes I know all is changing but 135 at Plan .......

New energy rep here. Yes my first job out of college. I am happy making 135k. It pays well giving my docs and or buyers favors compared to all the free action I gave away as a sorority girl. So easy to make my first half number! Just started giving it up to some of my biggest bariatric docs early on and now they use a harmonic and enseal on all their cases!

plan is 135. turnover was under 10% last year.

I have to laugh that you all are bragging about making $135! I compete against you fools all day everyday and clear $250 every year. I guess that means I am just crushing you guys! If anyone is wondering if they should work for EES, you need to ask your self if you feel comfortable telling half truths and navigating through all the smoke And mirrors they put out there. Seriously, we have turned over four EES reps in 5 years. If you want a career where surgeons and hospitals really value you as a rep, make a lot of money and also enjoy the excitement of innovation, look for opportunities with Covidien.

That was a great post. You had me until I read "innovation", value you as a rep, and Covidien.

Thanks for the laugh.

Green Jacket Gold Jacket who gives a s*@#

unless you understand contracts and how hospitals buy NOW-A-DAYS

Applied sucks, Covidien Sucks, Ethicon sucks - surgeons don't care anymore because their reimbursement sucks, and whatever the contract dictates is what hospitals will buy.

Keep thinking you are making a difference..................................learn how to play the game and stop bickering between companies - you have jobs - learn how to play the game.

The manager above who can do whatever the f he or she wants during the day is a real class individual. Harmonic gets hot very hot and is borderline dangerous for the average surgeon. Enseal not a great device serviceable but not great. Used to work for EES and I don't miss the political crap. Gary Pruden will gut that business very soon. He is an Ethicon, Inc. guy not EES. Good luck EES.
