Eric Brown We Have a Problem

Alks is a shitty place to work, there’s no opportunity for growth beyond career ladder promotions, the culture sucks, we have less and less resources to do our jobs, there zero development, the IDPs are just a box checking exercise, yet……..

the pay is good and they give us RSUs - ill continue the cash grab at this miserable place to work and ride it until the cuts come my way.

You will not get RSUs if they don’t vest. So, if things go south then you don’t get that carrot.
If they PIP someone that has built up RSUs then they take all of that cash and help the bottom line.

So true. Eric is always talking about our RSUs as a reason to stay here.

Ask Aaron Hanson and his KAMs how much all those unvested RSUs are worth right about now.

Agree on Damon, the most uninspiring senior leader I’ve ever worked for. He’s so blah and doesn’t know how to motivate a sales team. And sales contests kickers, etc are a joke and don’t amount to much dollar amount.

Add in the fact that he makes drastic cuts to resources, samples, speaker and LnL budgets. Totally clueless

Can't agree with these posts. I think great leaders and great culture here in my division of firld sales. Problem is the market and our products. Generic maintena in september is just a fact of the market and patent law. Vivitrol patent expiration is the law too. It happens. We tried for years to buy or develop replacement products to launch. All we got through was lybalvi. That stuff happens at a lot of co's. Don't blame leadership. They did a lot to avoid this scenario. Happens even at larger companies than alks. Like sunovion, takeda, vertex, shire... It's just that it is our turn now. Stop blaming. Blame yourself if you haven't worked out a personal plan B.

There is zero strategy coming from leadership. That’s what they are suppose to do. You get a market win you do well, you don’t you are screwed. And 9 times out of 10 those who get screwed are better reps. Not sure where you are but my region and leadership are not what you describe.

What did they try to do with Vivitrol? Dump the prefilled syringe idea, what until the end of patent life to focus on AUD, not pursue additional indications, never do a DTC campaign, and never pursue a closed network channel for fulfillment ? Anything else?
