End of year Layoffs

In my experience, for what it is or isn’t worth, you must be working in the territory through December 31 to qualify for Q4 bonus. Once that layoff letter is in your mailbox, even if they continue to pay you through the end of the year, you are out of territory. If they layoffs are on 12/19, no bonus.

If the layoff letters/announcements go out after January 1, which I highly doubt, I believe they legally have to pay out Q4 bonuses.

As for PClub and any associated $ or value, no, nyet, nada. Sorry. And again, in my experience, for those who are still standing, they won’t “adjust” the PClub winners to make up for those who were let go.

It’s all ugly, but don’t take it personally. It’s business, Corporate America, and part of the risk of working in this industry.

Again, my experience. You asked. Maybe some other CP poster out there has another idea.

Stop spreading this laughable lie. There are no layoffs coming in December. We’re good into 2021.

What would your best “guess” be for neuroscience? Botox Therapeutics. Given a CM and a HSM would they go by indication? Tenure? What if the HSM moved from CM and was credentialed in all indications?

Holy shit, how many times do you have to hear it. IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH BOTOX YOU ATE NOT GOING TO BE LET GO. Fuck.

How cute, someone who believes everything they are told! When you’ve been somewhere less than six months you have to wonder. Especially when those around you are freaking out.

well I’m not one that has any inside connection to info regarding the merger, but I do know lay offs are coming. Big Big cuts and it’s gonna affect a lot of Allergan reps. Will it be the last Q of this year? Will it be first Q of next year or the second Q? I dint know which quartet it’ll happen in but I do know that massive massive lay offs are coming for reps, DMs, etc with Allergan.

Brent ran this company in the ground. He’s lucky to find a buyer to keep him from looking like a big steamy pile of sh.t. Now he just like a smaller pile of it

I just want to get this over with. Isn’t this like our 6th lay off in the past 6 years? Just let me have my severance. I can’t take it here any more. It’s like working for a contract company. I’d rather work somewhere for less money as long as I have job stability and am treated right. F this place. Maybe Abbvie will make it a better place but as long as Brent S is on their board then I don’t believe it’ll get any better

Actually if as in your example a lay-off occurs on Dec. 19th, given the probable size of the layoffs, it would likely trigger the WARN Act which means all those involved would stop working that day but would remain on the payroll for another 60 days. This qualifies you for full Q4 bonus payout and a partial or full bonus payout for what your territory earns in bonus for Q1 of 2020. You would also be paid for you remaining PTO and will receive any 401K match you are due.
Short tenure reps will be getting 39 weeks of severance pay while most reps while get 52 weeks.
I’m not 100% sure about the Presidents Club compensation. May guess is you would receive the stock which could be substantial, and probably be paid out the appraised value of the actual trip to Cabo or Aruba.
Nobody likes being like go but compared to other jobs in other industries it’s a pretty good severance package and gives us a cushion of time to find other employment.

sorry Charlie - every division with be hit. Especially reps with tenure, of certain age. Those making, high salaries and bonus regardless of company or products. Time to clean up numbers. They say things will not change in especially high growth divisions because they want business as usual until deal closes. Don’t be foolish
