Eisai US will cut 600 jobs by April 1, 2011

Eisai is contracting in the US. Just checked Eisai's US website. eisai.com has been taken by Eisai Co., Ltd, now, Eisai US is www.eisai.com/us.

The change of the website is another signal that Eisai US is no longer an important of Eisai Japan's strategic development.

the 20% cut is referring to all Eisai US employees including Eisai Inc. (WCL and field force), Eisai medical research and Eisai North America.

However, the 600 job cut this round is mostly from WCL and Field force. Eisai north america will be dissolved by the end of the 2011

No, eisai north america will not be dissolved. silly comment. If you watch the town hall on the website LC said that the website would be changed. eisai north america will continue to be reduced if aricept 23 sales don't pick up by october.

You are silly. Check Eisai.com, Eisai north america doesn't list Under Eisai US. BTW, nobody is expecting aricept 23 will pick up.

Then expect Eisai north to be shut down if it is dependent on aricept 23. What a joke, the 23!! does anyone use this shit?

Eisai wants to be a female onc company. 23 is just hopefully paying the bills for a few years.

Really? First they wanted to be a CNS focused company...then they wanted to be a 'premier biopharma company'...now it's female onc. Maybe if they made up their minds and stuck to one strategy, they wouldn't have ruined what was once a great company. Trust me, they will never figure out what they want to be when they grow up...in fact, they won't be around long enough to pass puberty.
