All GMs to come into EH 2nd week of Jan to finalize Restructure. Directors to be informed the following week on cc, followed by DM and field later same week. Hr set with same packages as 2010. No more OU structure, hr, training, offices, so on. Going back to EH control. Looks like PC hit by 75% (not final but likely) with 1gm. Directors to displace dms, dms/ reps, mco teams will be hit hard as well as brms. Trying to find new asignments for many will be difficult.
 






any chance for volunteer severance? I really don't need this job, but will keep putting $$ in my savings account if i stay on. But would be happy to step aside for a severance so someone who really needs this job, can keep it.

what do you mean by "no more OU structure"?
 






























This makes the best business sense! They should downsize to the bare bones so there will be no more downsizing for a few years! Provide volunteer severance and Place some people in other openinigns within the organization (ms, oncology, vaccines, animal health, consumer, Alcon). More openings will open up within parts of the organization and expand....I hope this is the truth one business unit. I think you are on point! Bare bones should occur... That way they can stop doing this horrid mess to families! At least for a few years!

WOnt happen that way though sounds good, The other areas like vaccines, AH and ALcon all are run like seperate companies. There would have to be alot of openings to place enough people to make any difference and these openings are few and far between

There will be 1 PC organization out of EH. Think about it 1 yr from now there may only be 1 or 2 products to promote unless Novartis buys something or someone.

As you say all speculation!
I would say if half the reps are gone which is very feasible, half the managers will be gone too.

Pod selling = out! [insert toilet flush] Totally agree. So many other companies do not have pod selling.

Every sob has it day...this is yours Chris Kaplan. The worst thing I ever knew in Novartis. Doesn't deserve to be call a human being.

Until NPC don't get rid of scumb like this things won't get better.
 












My guess is that they will lay us all off and then we can apply for the few jobs left with managers getting priority over the jobs left. This way they can can bring us in with lower pay and a signed document saying that if we leave before a cetain period of time then there is a financial penalty. This legally is the easiest way when the lay offs are as deep as this.
