EDCS/HS Rep any news ?

Here is how it goes from here. As much as they say based on competencies, the initial placement will have NOTHING to do with this, unless a rep or manager is on a coaching plan. All DCS reps and managers in good standing, get “placed” into newly map geographies. Their positions were not eliminated and if you plug in reps who were displaced, well that’s a big fat law suit. After the initial placements, displaced H-E reps can apply
for what open, if any positions remain.

HS managers and EDBMs will have to hope there are one or two new districts they can apply for and interview against the other displaced managers for a position.

pretty simple math and I have not been off much as of yet.

QUOTE="anonymous, post: 6446806"]Again, the initial posts in this thread said E's And H's were going away. H's structure is being dissolved but those reps will be placed according to competencies. So basically they are going to determine how may positions we have at each level, and then place qualified candidates in the positions which is why they will take to mid November .

So basically ALL of us are in a competitive situation from RDB down. Field Directors have to interview for positions and everyone else will be placed.

If you have strong competencies and have had good performance you should be ok.[/QUOTE]

Only changes with EDCS are that they will be reporting to DBL. There may be a few displaced due to geographical challenges but the majority will be calling on the same Endos they have currently.

I cannot imagine many of the DE’s will be retained, especially in an area with very few health systems. What the DE sales force brings to the table now is so minimal, and their job can definitely be done by a DCS. It is a shame that the DE’s cannot have contact with patients; that is truly when their job was at its peak and meaningful

This will again, depend on the volume in the geo. If it only warrants one E rep then there will be a displacement. Most reps will be good but all the EDBMs will be displaced and will be fighting for jobs with HDBMs and HSAMs. The way I see it there could be 3-5 people fighting for one opening.

Does the volume really matter? It’s about the number of HCPs. We have one E rep for every 10 endos in the country - the math doesn’t make sense. In my geography, the E reps have just a handful of offices. Their presence hasn’t been justified in 5-6 years. At most, you could justify one E per territory, certainly not 2, especially considering company is abandoning insulin.

E’s and H’s aren’t going away nor will they have to “interview” They will place them based on competencies and performance in a pool with the current DCS’s. These are facts. If anything, they’ll bump a lot of DCS’s out of positions. Novo wants more of an account selling base in the new model and Health Systems are going back to DCS territories. H’s will be more valuable and they have the Health System knowledge and existing relationships.

Ok. Dream on.

What part of being displaced don’t you get H rep? The only reason they are doing the competency evaluation is to weed out reps who won’t be retained and placed. That’s what displaced means dreamer. You will be able to post for anything open or expanded due to volume being added back into territories. Same with H and E managers with even less of a chance to get back.

that is not what Brian’s email said. Re-read it, it is very clear.

I don’t know why there seems to be any confusion any longer. The email says H rep roles will be eliminated, and the next sentence says based on competencies that those reps will be moved into any existing openings.

Nothing in that email reads like DCS reps will be displaced. CafePharma can argue all it wants....but Brian just said H role is over, tough to lose colleagues, then said based on competencies these reps would be moved into any open positions. If a DCS is currently in a position, it is not open. It is very clear what he is saying.

Yes!!! You are correct. This assessment will only weed out poor performing DCS reps or managers to create a potential opening. Those regions with high performing DCS reps, will not have many openings, even when they add Hs volume back. Again, HS reps, managers and ENdo managers are all likely gone.

The DCS team reps and managers have not been communicated that they are being displaced. Simple; in good standing? You are placed on the new maps.

The term “Displaced” was no where in the email. It also doesn’t say anything about “posting” for any available DCS spots. It clearly says based an leader assessment, reps will be placed. Reps with highest competencies will be placed period. Doesn’t matter if you’re a rep in “good standing” BTW I’m a DCS. Reading is fundamental. H’s will push some DCS’s out of a job.

Not what he said on call. H Reps will be included in pool of reps to be assessed for the positions that will make up districts - so D’s and E’s in same pool. Only exception is for the E’s - if needed, they stay.

That’s exactly what was said on the call. It’s an even playing field for all of us. No one has been ‘displaced’ as you say. It’s a restructuring. H’s are in the pool with DCS to be considered to make up new territories/districts.
