If you are 55 or over and you are doing bad you are just a lousy rep. If you are that age and you are doing well than congratulations, you got lucky this year. You old farts are too busy trying to respect the doctors than challenge them. My RBD says this. If you want the business you don't ask it of your customers. YOU DEMAND IT. YOU HAVE EARNED IT> YOU are the expert. Not them, YOU are the immunology SPECIALIST.

I can always tell when it is you at a meeting. You are the little shitty kid that has managers boosting your numbers by filling for stockings with SPP numbers. Yes, you will be promoted. Yes, you idiots will run the older talent out simply due to age. Finally, you should know that you won't make it out alive. I was able to get the details on the April reorg. According a real reliable source, my abm who is on the fast track for Marti's job eventually, it is looking like this:
55 and over: 2 years severance depending on your years of employment with the company. If your over 55 and 10 years in you get the 2.
50-55: A year's severance along with some bonuses thrown in for length of service.
Under 50: If your close like 49, exceptions will be made. If not, then you better get yourself in gear and be ready to work almost around the clock. Airwatch on the iPad. Managers doing week- long field rides. Calls to your customers to see how effective you are.

This is going to be a great time for some people and a bad year along with some really miserable years to come. If your smart like me you'll hold on to the 50 mark and take the money and run. I know one rep in the first category with 750k in the J & J 401k alone, 200k in company stock, about 80 thou in options and a pension. We should all be so lucky. Or smart.
 






This displays the disgusting behavior from some management. A good start would be to can everyone that was hired under Centacor or OBI. Not age related but they have been exposed to poison for too long. This old management is troubling.

That makes perfect sense as all of our products are growing. All of them. Doesn't it make perfect sense to downsize now? Scary that this butt head took the time to fabricate this story. I guess your time isn't worth sheet.

Very happy to learn this and hear it confirmed by multiple sources. If you get a year or two's severance and find a job (which you will) you'll be making twice as much as the yes-sir-may-I-have-another young rep-slaves. The Golden Goose is about to land!

The OBI lay-off was pathetic. 10 years + and they received just a few weeks pay. They will not pay because they don't have to. Remember JnJ and Amgen have only one asset. For Amgen it as about the people. For JnJ it is about the money.

You might want to stop taking your kid's drugs. The reason it's being done this way to avoid the massive lawsuit that's about to hit the company for the way it treats the older reps. The company would rather hand out a years severance to a twenty or thirty old reps that get sued for millions. After that it's open season on the younger reps who have nothing to claim in terms of discrimination. The company will give them a week or two severance though, and plus they get to pull unemployment for a couple of years. That's not too bad.
 






TWO YEARS SEVERANCE!!!! You could start a business with that. Hell, I might buy a McDonald's franchise so I can hire the reps that get laid off after that. I bet some of those GI superstar reps will be equally competent on the fryolater. The managers and directors will have some problems mastering that technology, but there's always restrooms to be cleaned. I can't wait to see all the older reps walking the halls at POA I grinning as they walk through the hallways knowing they're a month away from the golden parachute!
