early failures??

Has anyone seen any early failures of these Conformis i total knee's. I do not work for them but one doc in my area has revised 4 of these in last 3 months from guy across town who does the Conformis total. All patients were out less than 18 months. 3 of the 4 had tibial subsidence and the 4th had a tibia that was internally rotated around 10-12 degrees. All 4 were painful. Thoughts?

I don't know why I come on this forum, I just get wound up by the sort of posts above from nervous competitor reps who are scared they are going to lose business when a superior product enters the market.

If I had a dollar for every early revision of De Puy, Stryker or Zimmer knees I would be retired by now. We all have comparable early revision rates, so be a professional and sell the benefits of your own products rather than stooping to bitching about the competition. Or at least get your facts right before you do.

Just finished revising another Conformis knee. 4th one this year. Femoral component was oversized and tibia was malrotated. Poly also looked like it had been in for 20 years. Someone please explain how this happens when you are using a "custom" implant.

Had a doc in my territory who was doing a conformis knee last week and the femur didnt fit. Apparently was grossly oversized. Had to bail to a Biomet knee. Still dont get why any surgeon would want to put themselves in that situation???

The trolls are starting to multiply! We're knocking on the door of 30k implants. Keep posting your asanine bullshit and I'll keep converting Doctors to the fastest growing orthopedic company in the world!

Too bad none of those are around my territory because I'd sure as hell love the revision business.

Show me a surgeon using ConforMIS and Ill show you a paid consultant, big or small, but paid...happening all over Southeast Florida.

The only thing "asanine" is your spelling, so when your grammar improves and you start spelling asinine and "Doctors" (it's not capitalized in this sentence, bozo) the correct way, then maybe I'll start being scared of losing business to someone as illiterate and uneducated as you.

If a surgeon buys from this moron, he/she must be getting paid! LOL

You got me there "Teach"! I promise to hit the vocabulary/spelling books as soon as I get through writing up the PO's for my 5 I-Totals tomorrow with my surgeon who believes in this fabulous new technology for his patients and doesn't make a dime from this company. The only clown on this thread is the pompous, supercilious little prick that has nothing better to do and nothing more to add than an irrelevant rant about grammar.

Now, now, my little puerile illiterate gnome. Name calling will get you nowhere. The Ignominious-Totals "your" surgeon implants are my revision commission checks, 'ol buddy, which amount to much more than your piddly little salary and token commission.

How are those vastly diluted stock options looking these days?? I know, they're so small that even someone as short as you can see them! They won't get your kids through college, Jim.)

My friend…if I am not mistaken the company has not even gone public yet..

which is why companies offer stock options to employees of privately held companies as an incentive, so when they do go public hopefully the employee will have some sort of return/bonus....i know McDonalds does not offer this so it might be a new concept for you

My Dad (ortho surgeon) uses conforMIS in SE FL, isn't paid to do so, and absolutely loves it enough to want one of his sons (me) to become a rep for them. He's assured me it's the future. He's in his 60's and done a lot of knees and hips on old people. Really looking into it and this thread has interesting commentary. I like reading what people have to say.

So it sounds to me that Dad spoiled his son his entire life..son only got into college because of dad's connections...then son failed out of U of Miami after drinking too much alcohol and smoking too much weed...now son is 35yo still living in his parents basement being a complete loser..Dad was embarrassed by how much of a failure his son was..Conformis got wind of his loser son not having a job and offered him the opportunity to make a lot of money if his Dad used Conformis knee... Everyone was a winner here except for the doctors patients...

Hahahaha exactly, you nailed it. Thank you /end thread

Your a dork..also if your old man is working in South East Florida..he is getting paid douche bag. First off if you were half of a man you would not need your father who is obviously part of the pozi scheme known as conformis to get you a job. Also you obviously are no where near being qualified to sell for a major company. Especially with this dumb post you left. Just keep to your online dating websites and wait for your old man to kick the bucket and enjoy his estate. Go away dork!

Wish I'd never had a Conformis CR! It was a mess and had to be revised. Femoral rotation, tbia plate rotated. Pain thru the roof. I lost an inch of bone, lost my job, doc is going scott free no one cares. Why would anyone think a custom knee off a diseased bone is a good idea
