DUI...advice

It has nothing to do with tenure. They can't have two sets of rules based on tenure. Mainly if you don't have other points on NNI's internal system you won't lose your job. If this puts you at a high risk driver that is a possibility but still not a guarantee. Not reporting it could be a problem though. You may be passed your time to tell without penalty.
100% does...tenure/politics/connections. Niece if you think it doesn't.

report it to your manager right away. It is still possible to get out of a dui. Not easy, but the right circumstances and the right lawyer, it's possible. Not reporting it is a 100% path to getting fired. If you get out of it, it won't count against you. If you lose your license for any amount of time, yeah probably time for a career change. No one will ever hire you, sorry to say. Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice. I didn't breath, I did report it to my manager. I was just making sure I did the right thing. It looks like everything might be ok. My manager seemed ok with it and just told me to be careful the next couple of months. My lawyer says that I might get it reduced since it's my first time. To the person who told me I don't deserve this job... get a life. I had two drinks and decided to drive home. I was followed out of the bar and they were just trying to meet there quotas. A lot of the tests are subjective. I hope you never find yourself in this situation.

Good luck to everyone on Monday! This might be my last post. Lol.
