15yrs pharma. Several major contracts with the 4 primary CSO's. First post CP. Love this drug. Convinced it has potential. Hanging on in high hopes early-mid 2014 this drug could really take off. Encouraged by wins with CMS & ACOG. But every day I find myself asking WHY DO WE STILL NOT HAVE PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS? THE PUQUE DOSING CARD?! WHY ARE PRINT ADS SOOOOOO UNINTERESTING? I WOULD FLIP RIGHT BY IT. WHY IS THE ONLY SALES TOOL (IVA) SO FUCKED UP? WHY ARE THE CO-PAY CARDS SO MISLEADING ($100 OFF - PAY AS LITTLE AS $30* MUCH BETTER THAN PAY NO MORE THAN $30* TEENY ASTERIK). WHY DOES THIS SPECIALTY CONTRACT ONLY PAY $59K WITH BONUS POTENTIAL I WOULDN'T EXPECT TO NET $3K WHEN IN TOP 20%. AND WHY WON'T THEY PROVIDE FOR A COMPANY CAR?!?! I'M PROJECTING OVER 45K MILES ANNUALIZED. IN MY CASE, I'M LOSING MONEY ON THE CAR AND GAS. And I'm not even bitching about managed care and samples! And yes, I'd reallly like the. I love this drug, like working for Publicis, and really like my DM. But please, please reward our experienced reps before losing them.

95% of us have 0 medicaid, and are at a serious disadvantage when compared to territories that have it. But, we are still forced ranked against territories that have definite advantages over those that don't have medicaid. Duchesnay/Publicis have lied to the salesforce several times. The idiot that priced the drug should be fired. Managed care and the coupon suck. The vis aid offers nothing. We are ruining our cars and yes, you are right about losing money each month with the car allowance/mileage. Loo

I also love the drug, but it will never do much more than it is right now. They had a great opportunity, but blew it.
 






If you whiny fucks would get out and work instead of crying and moaning you would be a great success with this product like I am. Well not everyone can be a superstar like me. Eat your hearts out punks!

You do know you wont have a job mid 2014 right. You can make the same drug by taking 2 over the counter products for like $12 a month. No company car because they contract is not going to last that long and they don't want to be stuck with a bunch of leased cars. Lastly they don't care about you. If you leave they will have 50 people to replace you by the end of the week. If you took this job as more than a paycheck until you could find a better job then you were kidding yourself. This contract had epic fail written all over it from day 1.

Absolutely correct. From day one, the wrong management team ran the show. S & D are clueless as to how to launch a product. Then they priced it about 10x higher than it should have been. Add on piss poor managed care, lies, gigantic territories, poor comp plans, forced ranking and you have one huge fuck-up! Everyone in our district is looking like mad to find something else. I think this won't last much longer. It will go down in CSO history as the worst contract in history. The drug has topped out. Oh well, if S&D knew what in the hell they were doing, things would have been a lot better.

Top 15 rep here. Just my two cents. Managed care is horrible. They are spending $ questionably. Not having a fleet car sucks. All true. My state has a very difficult Medicaid PA. But I find a way to win. Rather than focus on the things I can't control, I look to affect the things I can. 80/20!!!! Focus on commercial. Find a pharmacist advocate. Tricare!!!! My point is pharma isn't like it was. Salaries are low, MC are bullies, etc. If you don't like your job and aren't happy with the industry, look for something else. Miserable and pessimistic is no way to live...

80/20 doesn't work because Dave and company want you to call on your top 10 weekly, your docs that quit Rx'ing weekly, and your 24 docs that received the 100 full-size weekly. They are fucking crazy! Then, God help you if you even mention the fact that you don't have medicaid! What you have are horrible amateurs trying to re-launch a 60 year old drug with terrible managed care coverage. And on a ton of lies from management, well you see what we have ended up with.

After you attend some anger management classes you should consider retail yourself. Perhaps as a Walmart greeter, they're always looking for cheerful people.
 






This contract has got to the bottom-of-the-barrel if there ever was one. Management lies, no managed care coverage, a drug that is close to $500 a month that should sell for no more than $30 a month, territories that are massive, piss poor bonus plan, poor car allowance etc., etc., etc.

The real question is how long will it last, and how many people will jump ship in the next few months?
 






why jump ship just ride the wave no samples no problem. Half the people on this contract work 1/2 a day any more its a complete joke and it started with all the craziness from the top. Could have been a good one but the screwed it up! Good luck finding a sales force to take over and actually be able to sell this now

Look who is at the "top"!! Are you kidding me?? Both S and D would be better suited to be greeters at WalMart! I might work a half-day on a good day. Docs have realized that it's too much of a hassle to Rx it, so we have hit the peak. The sales data is just made up on the spot. You are right about riding it out.
 






Heard some full-time reps were brought in at $50K a year, and some at $60K per year. Huge difference!! This is a pure shit contract! Piss poor sales data, management lies etc. What a joke!
