Yes, Mallinckrodt DOES drug test! Within 48 hours of receiving your verbal offer, HR will send you the offer in writing, and ask you to sign it, along with some other documents. Within 24 hours of doing so, you will receive an email from "Hire Right", asking you to register on their website within 48 hours so that they can do a background check. Once you do this, they will give you 48 hours to take a drug test (this is firm and cannot be changed). The results of said drug test will be reported within one business day.
Most drugs are out of your system within a few days (except marijuana), so if needed, just work the timeframes, and do not be in a rush. If they give you 48 hours to start the process, take the entire two days. Keep in mind, that once you start a part of the process, it will automatically spawn the next. So be smart!
Marijuana is absolutely harmless, but it stays in your system for up to to 3-4 weeks (can be longer if a heavy user and/or obese). The second you know that you will be interviewing, you should abstain. Drug tests are very inexpensive to purchase; you can get a pack of ten marijuana test for 6$ on amazon.com. Just buy a bunch of them, and keep testing yourself. Don't take the drug test until you know you will pass it.
