Incorrect- If the companies headquarters are in colordo then no worries "mate" but if the companies headquarters are in a different state, pre-employment follows their states regulations on legal pot and you will fail miserably

First of all, you sound like you have the maturity level of a prepubescent teenager, you clearly do drugs or wouldn't have a care in the world about a drug screen, you must be desperate to take this job meaning that you're hiding something in your past or got fired from your previous job, and you obviously didn't research the company as you were interviewing.

Yes, I do drugs...I drink alcohol. Oh, I also smoke weed. Oh, I got the job, and am hiding nothing. There is a background check, remember. Oh, and yes, I am a freak, just ask your mom after she wipes my seaman from the corner of her mouth and chin.

The responses to this post are a testament to the fact that 90% of the respondents on these boards are pure malcontents. The original poster asked a simple question, and we have two pages of responses, but no one answered the question in a reasonable way.

Yes, Mallinckrodt DOES drug test! Within 48 hours of receiving your verbal offer, HR will send you the offer in writing, and ask you to sign it, along with some other documents. Within 24 hours of doing so, you will receive an email from "Hire Right", asking you to register on their website within 48 hours so that they can do a background check. Once you do this, they will give you 48 hours to take a drug test (this is firm and cannot be changed). The results of said drug test will be reported within one business day.

Most drugs are out of your system within a few days (except marijuana), so if needed, just work the timeframes, and do not be in a rush. If they give you 48 hours to start the process, take the entire two days. Keep in mind, that once you start a part of the process, it will automatically spawn the next. So be smart!

Marijuana is absolutely harmless, but it stays in your system for up to to 3-4 weeks (can be longer if a heavy user and/or obese). The second you know that you will be interviewing, you should abstain. Drug tests are very inexpensive to purchase; you can get a pack of ten marijuana test for 6$ on amazon.com. Just buy a bunch of them, and keep testing yourself. Don't take the drug test until you know you will pass it.

Of course, if you smoke weed, you must be a loser right! But alcohol, no problem. Do they test for alcohol? It is far more dangerous, and pervasive. Im a loser because I smoke weed on weekends? I would put my Education, professional accomplishments, etc up against yours any day of the week.
