Does anyone remember a company called Genzyme

Genzyme got fat and lazy.,hence the contaminations and failures. that led to their downfall. There was a stifling array of "Yes, Henri!" men/women towards the end. LabCorp is a whole other brand of incompetence. I'm still confused as to their business model of destroying evey company they acquire, while still remaining attractive and profitable to investors.

So true

Including a good deal of formerly loyal clients. The Genzyme holdouts are shoveling sh*t against the tide trying to preserve whatever's left.

You are so wrong in that statement,we are not working and interviewing on Lab Corps dollar. Thanks LC for paying me a salary while I go and talk to other companies and tell them how bad this organization really is to their people.

Who cares....anyone who matters is long gone.

This company still has all of the very smart people from Dianon, USL and Genzyme here making quality, impactful decisions on key issues like where to have dinner at a trade show, what color tie to wear and what to lie about on their jeopardy calls. These are industry thought leaders for sure.

The sad fact it that upper management won't even feel your departure but the scurrying, grovelling, underings will when they are expected to pick up the slack. Maybe you'll be replaced by a newb who will attempt to sell for peanuts or else someone else will get stuck with your work. They want you to leave. They want cheap. Good luck, looking forward to yet another "This is a great company and, by the way, I'm leaving" email.

Little stuff says everything about the new management. Like telling commuters they have a 5 minute margin to punch-in, even with Boston weather and traffic. They're idiots.

"Selective" is the word. Also, if you're a manager, you can "work from home" while everyone else struggles to come in and actually "work". Great way to pile up the PLB hours in your pajamas.

What happens is people arrive early and sit in their cars until it's 5 minutes of (technically that's a 10 minute window in total) wasting gas in the parking lot most days.

But yeah... lots of small unenforcable rules so that people are in violation when convenient.
