Do you want to keep you job?

It's so nice to finally see a post on the Forest board which seems so credible and fair. Seems we always fight on here. The truth is that the good times are over in this industry. There will be more reps who lose their jobs in the future. Yes even Forest reps. We just don't know exactly when it will all go down. So whether you love your job at Forest or not, you better think hard about your future. Its so crazy out there trying to get a job. Don't get caught sleeping on this one. You may be one of the lucky ones and you may not.

god this place is a nightmare-does anyone in upper mgmt read these posts-does anyone care or are they the ones who streamline this pissbile down to us... the dm's here are utter trash- bring nothing to the table-just ugly mouthpieces for a corrupt RD. less real selling and more bs paperwork, can it get any worse!

"The plan is to unload and streamline, common sense tells us that this will not be done with a full load of reps and pods. The positioning has already started with my troops, we hopefully will only loose the bottom but the top reps are all very susceptible as well....do yourself a favor, start looking."

Can you explain, then, why they've hired 400+ new reps in the past 3 months?

The funniest think is pharma was/is a relationship sale for the most part. All drugs typically "work" in any given category. So why does Forest keep a 100% turnover of at least 2 of 4 reps in a pod then? Because they either know you realize relationsip building will be impossible if not improbable and if they think you know that or suspect your giving up on certain targets...say buh bye! I was as real with my manager about different targets and he was all blah blah, when I was a rep I went cover to cover on my MVA and made him send patients into a room to speak about Celexa or insert BS story here.

the amount of hiring and firing here is a joke- where is the relationship building? why so many newbies-who don't know crap except for the bs the dm's shove down their throats- implosion is what's coming to the denny's of the pharm world!(FRX)

i have been in this industry for many years with Forest. If you are in an area where they are making smaller pods it is due to your state regulations not a national initiative. As far as the the BS about Forest reps being bottom feeders in the Pharma world that is an individual problem. Good salespeople can get jobs, and those that can't are looking to blame someone else, hence the BS line that all Forest reps are not marketable. My doctors and fellow pharma reps from other companies NEVER claimed the culture of the company was any worse than who they worked for. Stop blaming the company, your manager, your teammates for your lack of skills! Join the military, grow a pair and learn what it is like to really put your butt on the line! Maybe then you will have a greater appreciation for the job you have!

Agreed. It is brutal out here. Many of my peers have been networking like crazy and seeking any opportunity we can feasibly find. Some will take less money to get out, but the double stigma of "Pharma Rep" coupled with Forest is a tough nut to crack.

I have had some good interviews and connected well a couple of times, but without any success. I am getting worried as this place will implode soon and I have searched for work before without a job and it is twenty times harder. They look at the laid-off candidate as total failure even if does not hold water.

Is it time to bite the health care bullet and do something else?

Thats cause you are a loser! I have been getting calls and interviews! I have turned down a few jobs because i did not like the company! if you are a top performer, companies are always interested. obviously , you and your colleagues are shit and will not be hired
