Do we really NOT get off between Christmas and New Years?

Sorry Princess, guess you should have asked that hard-hitting question during the interviews. What other entitlements from the past are you missing? You're as whiny as the BART union folks in SF who are on strike because they'd have to cough up $92 a month for healthcare, maybe you should join their out-of-touch unrealistic union and drive a bus.

They want you to work during this time because they figure all other reps are out so you will have full access to offices and docs. Reality is, most offices are closed during this time, have shortened hours, or are running on a skeleton crew and don't want to see you anyway. Drop off a few lunches, brkfst and afternoon snacks and go home. Working during this time is simlply not worth it.

Phone it in.

Let me know if you're that unhappy and I can take care of that.... you obviously don't understand how CSO's work and how we make money to pay your salary. That is part of the negotiating with the client up front.

Right. It doesn't matter if JNJ or whoever gets that week off, Q reps don't. Q gets paid by billable hours, and that means you go out and make the contracted calls.....that's why it's called a contract genius. Q reps get 14 days off and if you don't like it there's someone else right behind you to take your place.

sounds like you might need to seek some professional help! go drink some more of the Q Kool-aid!

Ahh, you see this is how you build company loyalty, and dedication to work hard and productive.

You do a poor job of negotiating a contract and then say 'suck it up, there is someone right behind you to take your job' Don't bother with empathy or any of your spouted 'objection handling' methods.

Also … ensure that when your reps give notice you cut them off immediately. That day. If you give you the courtesy of 2 weeks notice, you get the remainder of that day of pay only.

I mistakenly took this Quintiles job, sold as a high performing team only to be treated poorly and now have the dreaded black mark of 'contract sales' on my resume.

Yep….moving on soon

Just take the week off between Christmas and New Years. The staff in all offices are minimal, physicians aren't there, office parties, etc. The offices really do not want to see reps during this Holiday week. Just put some calls in your computer each day, to cover yourself. You then can go shopping, go skiing, snowboarding, sleep, have lots of fornication, pray, go to church. Do whatever you want as long as it has nothing to do with Quintiles. You will never get caught, so have some fun during this week! Good luck!

You already had the dreaded black mark of "pharma rep" on your resume.

Question: How many former Pharma reps does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer: Given that there are tens of thousands of them, who cares? They're a dime a dozen.
