Pharma sales model is definitely locked in some 1960s fashion...we're basically following a door to door salesman model of knocking on doors and hoping to catch the lady of the house to sell her something...

DM model is same ancient model.. back when weekly paper reports had to be filed, expense reports mailed in and making a long distance call was a big deal ... really dm should be remote support function with some "trainers" making the rounds occasionally with reps to see if they can walk and chew gum at same time.
