Do we have a culture?

Indeed, it is not only a strong, educated response but a truthful one. A Google search will inform you of the OTC and Rx strengths for any of the products that were mentioned. Let me do your work for you. For example, Prilosec 20mg is available OTC, while the prescription strengths include 2.5mg, 10mg, 20mg, and 40mg. The dosage forms are the most significant difference between Prilosec OTC and Rx (other than the price). Voquezna is available in 10mg and 20mg tablets. I can only purchase Voquezna in a tablet dosage form. The most important aspect, and why Voquenza and this company are doomed to fail, is the price difference. Not only do I have more dosage form options with Prilosec OTC, but they are inexpensive, whereas Voquenza is not. If I were the prescriber (which I am not), why would I want to create more work for myself when inexpensive Prilosec OTC exists (or any of the other OTC products)? Moreover, would the prescriber want to add a financial burden to an already financially stressed healthcare system by prescribing Voquenza? The difference in indications doesn't matter. I am not in, nor have I ever sold a product in the GI space, but I am 100% positive that I have thrown objections at you that you have heard from physicians who were willing to listen to you. How can you explain that?
Omeclamox Pak beats them all you knuckleheads

If there was a culture, it just got shot down. They put all the president club winners in one segment regardless of the PPI market potential.
Great way to encourage your biggest revenue producers to leave the company while paying more commission to low volume territories.
Facts. Punish the performers no matter the cost.

Who do you expect to compete against?? My guess is you have no answer. THIS is called leveling the playing field.
I don’t expect Louisville, KY or Myrtle beach to compete with Houston or New York City. Do you? Their PPI market never changed but now these small markets are thrown into the big market group.
You don’t even know who was placed in segment A. What a waste of oxygen. I’m sure you’ll give an uninformed reply.
You don’t want a level playing field. Go rep for the YMCA. You’re their ideal candidate.

Of course I don’t expect these areas to compete against NYC or Houston. The company made a big mistake by taking 2024 performance into account for segmentation. It creates a scenario that punishes smaller successful markets AND it tosses them into a higher segment than if PPI potential alone were used. I think you mistook what I was saying. There are some incredible reps who have had great success but that doesn’t mean they should be segment A. On the flip side, take 3 reps in the same city for example. Whoever performs the poorest in 2024 gets to swim in the lowest segment where it seems performance overrides PPI potential.

I think the segments are directly correlated to the areas of the country they NEED to have RX’s in to succeed. A to E in order of importance. And they added performance in as a variable.

This actually makes more sense. My team can’t understand why anybody is any of the segments they are in….which is another example of poor (or non-existent) communication from the top.

But the explanation you give seems like it might be accurate.

I wish I had some concrete info for you. It seems like there’d have to be a reason for incorporating 2024 performance.

Yes it appears the PIPs are about as transparent as the segments. I find it odd that multiple reps in the same city are in completely different segments.

For ex if you have 4 reps in the same city, and they’re B,C,D,E - if they have to eliminate a rep, which one do you think it would be? E!
They could also absorb the E territory if needed.

How in the hell are they going to hold a national sales meeting ? They’re assholes. People are miserable.
They need to fix a lot before February. Give people a reason to stay.

Never dreaded a meeting more. Wouldn’t be surprised if there are a bunch of people who find excuses not to go. Like Quitting. (Maybe they anticipated this making us get refundable tickets?) I have failed in my mission to have another offer before the meeting so far.
