So we know that we all have some time before the sky falls. So why would you want to be here when it does??? Start looking now...prepare your resumes...don't let Pfizer dictate what happens to you!! They don't care about us...it's all about what they can get from the suitor/buyer. It's all business. Start looking now...what do you have to lose? It's a lot easier to find a job when there aren't a hundred other reps looking at the same time. DO NOT LISTEN TO PFIZER, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US!!!

It is in the best interest for Pfizer to keep everything and everyone in place until a deal is signed. If there is a mass exit from PAH it affects the bottom line. They do not care about you! Everything said in Town Hall Meeting is said to keep you at your job working like nothing is going on. You don't think for a moment that upper management is finding their way out. Why do you think GF left when he did. No one is focused on the job in Madison.

They've said very similar things to the companies they have acquired over the past 15 years. How many were let go with the Wyeth acquisition? 20,000 total in all divisions.

And this is why you should do just enough to keep your manager off your back while you look for a way out...we still have some time folks but don't get complacent...

We will be fine. We are the 2nd largets AH company worldwide!!! That doesn't happen by mistake. Our reps and management team in the sales and marketing capacities will still remain.

The sooner Pfizer sells the better! As a distributor rep, I am sick of Pfizer dictating what we can and cannot sell and so are all my accounts.
As I often hear Pfizer referred to as the "evil empire"…it will be a refreshing change to deal with a company that truly supports us.

Distribution is a joke! Just be happy that any sales company supports you, because you are redundant and unnecessary.

typical arrogant nature of a pfizer rep... always thinking you're superior. the day is coming when you'll all be wishing you had a distribution job. redundant and unnecessary? what company still runs with two reps in one territory??? dumb ass!

Don't be a dumb ass, wait for your severence.

so you're saying it's better to get a three month severance package and go without a job for 6 months or longer than to transition into another position?! who's the dumbass? and don't even think you'll be getting the "pfizer" severance package. the new owners will give anywhere from 3 to 6 months at most.

Well that would be you if you think severance is only 3 months. Reps at PAH are already run thin. Distribution would be a great add on, but you still need the manufacturing rep. Hustlers would be able to make more cash in the right comp plan and lazy f*cks would find it a little easier to coast. Don't go running for the door yet. Pfizer may have the worst management team in the animal health industry and operate like a Mexican drug cartel but you do have one of the strongest overall portfolios on the market...hence the survival of the weak management structure, especially at the regional level. So yes you are the dumb ass something that is not in short supply at PAH.

You have GOT to be kidding me!!! The size of a company has nothing to do with guaranteed success, only how hard the landing will be when it falls. You are right that things will remain the same, but only until the deal is complete...then whammo! And the severance packages will be minimal as the old contract expired after the last layoff. Sit around and wait so i can get far out in front of you for another job. Oh, and upper-management, it couldn't happen to a better bunch...what will a simple Texas boy do when he is stuck in PA like a fish out of water? Ha!

Cry like he always does. Bawaahaahaaaa. Poor crybaby sales director.

Ok dumb ass...just keep telling yourself everything will be ok, i guess you already know you'll be the one out of two that survives this. Good luck to you and like someone said before, this leaves me at an advantage in finding something else before you.

What does that have to do with anything?! The strength of Pfizer is it's huge bankroll and dedication to research so we can purchase the Upjohns and Nortons and develop convenia and rimadyl. Tell me this...what kind of new research or products will we have after we're sold off? And if you think the new ownership is going to keep the current management team and sales force intact then you know nothing about business.

Management will be gone. Juan Ramon is retiring period. Why wouldn't he retire with a Pfizer retirement package. Wouldn't you. Plus he is old. There will be no more severance packages. Why is Pfizer going to shell out money to get rid of you when the new buyers will make the cuts. The time to get good packages are gone. The time to have left was the end of 2010.

This person gets it.
