It's true, almost half the sales force will be cut by qtr 3 next year.

This company probably could go without half its useless sales force and managers The problems is JJ stated in Q2 earnings call that part of the reason for sagging sales was due to vacant territories. Then the notion that doctors simply can not figure this whole thing out with out a sales rep was reinforced during the Q3 call. Although, I doubt anyone from the street actually believes this non-sense, they would pounce all over it if the company turned around and reduced the sales force.

The headline would read, "DNDN admits demand for Provenge is on the decline."

I've heard the same rumors but heard they will take place at the end of Q1 depending on Q4 results. There is no need for 103 reps when 30-40% lie in a geography with no potential room for growth/ aph issues/ logistics/ etc. What the street doesn't understand is that by reducing the sales force you aren't necessarily admitting a lack of demand. We have ABMs/Uro Kams that were created to take over for the sales force (they aren't linked to "sales" but that is their job) but the contracting flopped thus requiring a "short term" need for the sales force. Once they figure out the areas that can easily be cut and covered by these positions they can reduce the cogs even more and drive forward to profitability. There is still a tremendous need for reps (unless you are in an area with a high concentration of institutions) and the territories will become a map of the original "dirty 30".

So they hired more salespeople just to fire them a few months later? This company besides the great treatment they have discovered has done so much damage in the world to innocent people. It is time for PV to be separated from such an incompetent and evil enterprise. It is also time for the criminals to begin paying their debt to society.

The company laid off 500 employees in September, 2011 that it had hired less than a year previous. Same goes for 600 employees in September, 2012. This is no surprise.

since you are in senior management and willing to post here, can you give the readers of this board an update on the federal investigations that dendreon believes are related to the allegations in the class action lawsuits? or are you just here to discuss the positive?

So heavily that they hired a corporate communications person/spin meister to be an officer of the company. That is probably a first in the history of corporations in America. They must foresee a major need to spin to award that position with 50k shares. Truly disgusting.

Whether or not you are the same person in senior mgmt who wrote post #12, if you have knowledge that your above quoted post is true, then you have given material information to only a small group of people who read this board.

On the other hand, if you have written the above quoted post with no actual knowledge of its truth or falsity, then you have mislead the readers of your post about an investigation that has been disclosed in company filings.

You should come forward and identify yourself if you feel so strongly about what you say here.

It is December now. The probe has been dropped. Dendreon carries Directors and Officers insurance, so if any lawsuit would have come from the probe of former Officers the company would have been covered from any liability by the insurance.
