Disappointing offers...

Offer has been extended. Extremely disappointing. I have a feeling the company has made a very big mistake in low balling people. Many first choice candidates will turn down. Had high hopes to join the company. Offer insulting. Oh well. Time to move on, unfortunately. Good luck to everyone else.

Are you internal or external? Thanks

So, what was your insulting offer? And, what are you making now in base?

Oh STFU! I know many people who would be happy to take the offer bc they got displaced

Maybe some got verbal offers that went earlier in process, but I think the majority will receive verbal Monday and Tuesday.

Verbal offers are going out Monday. Nperhaps internal candidates got an actual offer on Friday, but I believe the person that posted they had been extended an offer was a hoax as they have not been extended yet.

I agree. Enjoy your weekend. Good luck in the remainder of the process.

The original poster should take up a new hobby. Internals are being offered jobs, but many are forgetting their positions will open up too.

Offers have gone out to internals and candidates from a company that will be away next week at POA. This is a fact. All others go out starting on Monday. Good luck to all hoping for an offer.

Internal offers started as early as the 12th for some internals and have been going on for the past week and a half. Don't know if any external offers have been extended.

GNE pays around $120-$135K for most CS positions and doesn't negotiate a lot from what you are currently making. Yes, maybe a bump in pay but don't expect a huge raise...ain't gonna happen. They might give some stock and a sign-on bonus as a one time thing but not huge raises for internal or external candidates.

GNE knows that the demand is high for these jobs and that they don't have to negotiate to get great reps.

$120K-$135K for MS reps? Seriously? I thought it would be more in the $140-$150K.

The company is out of their mind if they don't realize they have to pay for relationships in the MS world. Relationships are the name of the game in the MS space, which is overly crowded. If low balling new hires is their style then they will soon find out they won't get the quality of reps that they need to sell Ocre. Looks like the second choice reps will luck out with offers. So sad to see a company treat quality candidates so poorly. It's actually insulting to offer reps that have a great deal to offer so little of a salary increase.

I'm calling BS on "established relationships". While having a firm understanding of the market and their customers is a plus. I always look for reps who can go in and establish relationships. Drug is infused. Unless you are from Biogen you do not sell a infused product. So you have a relationship selling a oral or a injection. Congratulations. As someone who did a lot of interviewing of candidates for this role.....I was the one rolling my eyes when the only thing you had to offer was your "established relationships" with a me too drug.

I agree with you. Ocrelizumab will sell by itself. Physicians are already warehousing patients with off label Rituxin. If this was a hard to sell drug you would need the people with relationships to get into the door. Yet this is not the case with Ocrelizumab. Any good rep with good clinical background on MABs, immunology and knowledge on infusion sites is ideal.

completely disagree. The only people jumping on this drug are ms specialists. It'll be a tough sell to general neuros. Not to mention managed care not going to cover the drug right away. Only strong relationships will pursuade non ms specialists to go to battle to prescribe ocre. You're naive to the market.

You have no way of knowing that or how another person will perform or how the drug will perform. The only thing that is evident with you is sour grapes. It sounds like you went for the job and didn't get it. Stop with the negative posts ok? If you didn't get the job, just move on and find something else. It's really that simple. You and other asses have nothing to gain by causing this drama other than to feed your sick egos.

In addition, I want to comment on this thread. No external candidates have received their official offers yet. Some may have gotten an unofficial call letting them know something is coming. This might be possible, but no external offers have gone out yet. So right off the bat, this thread is a lie from a vindictive jerk. If internal candidates have gotten offers already, chances are they got a slight bump in pay. They are happy working for Genentech or they wouldn't be looking at another job with them and would be trying to find something else with a new company. I really don't know how people can sleep at night and live with themselves when the try to negatively play around with other candidate's minds. This isn't a joke and is a person's livelihood. So much for a board that really should be used to anonymously help one another with inside Information about certain companies. Unfortunately, in this day in age, there are a lot of not-so-nice people out there that would rather harm than help.
