Dinners

I am currently interviewing for W-C. i have heard it's over the top micromanaged with DM's looking at signatures before 9am and after 4;30. Is this true? What about just moving the mkt share and just doing the job? Is this for all DM's from the VP???

Yeap, first call at 9, last at 4.30. If u don't comply, u will get a call from ur DM.

There are 5 divisions and about 50 managers. Depends on which one you get for how strict they are. If you market share sucks, you will be expected to work the full hours. But at the end of the day, 930-4, is that really so bad? Wow. IF that is too much for you to handle, maybe you should go work at a bank or something. Completely get out of sales. You people make me sick.

You are correct...first signature before 9 am and the last "needs" to be after 4:30. It is not so much the DM's but the Regional Manager (or whatever her title is now) the attached title to this specific person seems to advance within the company at a tremendous rate. I believe the objective of the Regional Manager is to overly compensate (intense micromanagement) for the manner in which she has advanced to her lofty position within WC. Trying to justify the reasoning for placing her in this level of position with unrealistic management aspirations has led to unrealistic expectations of the reps in the field, in my opinion.

Just curious, in what part of the country are you interviewing for a position?

There are Pros and Cons with everything, as you know, on one hand you get a nice car, large expense account, nice salary, and large checks when bonuses hit. You would have it better than a lot of others in our country. However, you may need to check your conscience at the door and strap on an overinflated ego that will fit perfectly in the world of micromanagement that WC lives in.

Either way...Hope all goes well for you
