That energy is coming from mid 20 yr olds looking to break into medical, bust their asses and drink Kool-Aid, to then quit after hitting a low quota. The energy you speak of is created by that revolving door of talent coming and going. The same can be said about customers lured by cheap deals only to find that it costs money to jump ship (re-training gp's, failures, backorder on parts and they can't close a case preventing payment, etc.)
 




I hope everyone has a back up plan once they reduce our salaries again next year and bump your quota significantly

No joke! My husband walked by as I was watching the webcast and said, "that dude looks like he's getting a hand job under the table!"

Did Deaver go to charm school to learn that new trick? Because to me, he's still as swarmy as ever. Dude makes my skin crawl!

Asper, nice guy. Truly, one of the good guys. Is he cut for this, I don't think he is. He's been at it for 3 years now and really, what has been innovative as far as marketing goes that left his desk?
 




There is no Marketing!!!!! they all suck leading up to BD!!!! the reason things are good now is because there is no quota growth. Wait till next year which will come quickly because the quotas are going to SkyRocket! and you still will not have that extra 15k they took from you.
all i know is that most companies who value their Sales Sources don't cut Salaries!!
it's going to change for the major worst next year and for all those that kiss butt on the various websites let's see how you are doing next year!

Lazarra and Asper do a good job. Former top reps who are engaged with the business and doing what they can to help field reps. Swain has taken our tradeshow game to a whole different universe. Great stuff.

Get out there and grow your current customers. Get some new products in there and use them to bring on new business. There are simple ways to grow.
 




I'm curious about the ROI on the tradeshow booths? The cost per square footage vs revenue acquired at the show. Should that be too detailed, how about cost per square footage vs increase in customer acquisition per attendance post trade show after 3 months? The info on customer acquisition can be attained by the association member roll, attendee list to then use internal CRM to gauge increase in sales. After all, what other way would you judge ROI on trade shows. Should upper management not thought of that, then they are fools. This is standard practice, ask any Gartner or trade show sales group on how they pitch booth space to the Swain's of the world.
