Diabetes future

I have an old neuro rep who went into diabetes, and she is such a bloviator. She's a legend in her own mind....her top account does not like her.....she's not knowledgeable about her products or disease state....and all she wants to do is "service" her account. What a waste of money. She'll probably rank somewhere (hard not to with Lilly), and she'll continue with her stupid ways. She's hurting our business. The quote from above: "Neuro reps are the best sales people" is bullshit.

They aren't the best sales people per say- but unfortunately for us upper management puts them on this BS pedestal and its going to affect us come start of next year!

Are dietary restrictions part of the business?

NN will now have Tresiba to talk about in 2013 as well as Victoza.

They won't even get a chance to mention NL or NM, might be a bit of an opening there.

It is a sad, sad day when the Lilly Diabetes Sales team has to scavenge decaying opportunities left behind by companies who know how to discover innovative diabetes products and successfully bring them to market. Lilly used to be like that.

That's so true.....we're doing the same thing with Axiron. Scrounging to find something to sell that is neither innovative or a product that fills a need. Just an attempt at charging an extreme amount for a remake me-too drug. Trying to save our company with miscellaneous drugs and sex meds.....nice, I'm so proud.

I was there in 1999 and sold Humalog when it was the shit. I sold against Novalog when it came out and kicked the nuts off of it and the rep that sold it. I sold L/N, Humalog Mix 75/25, and guess what..... I was proud as hell to do it. The company was proud as hell to send us out there to do it too. That big red Lilly on the corp center meant something. Does it now? Nope- just another building, another corporate logo, run by a bunch of tummy stick frat boys. I still bleed Lilly red--- the old Lilly red.
