Hugging you back

Our clueless clearly unqualified new executive director in my business unit told us today “when we start to feel negative about rumors - channel it into making another call on a customer”. I almost choked on camera from that one. Look at the background of senior leadership after this so called transformation. None of them are qualified to be in their roles. It’s clear the already in place leadership hired all of their under qualified friends into high level roles and all their response is to make more calls and for managers to do more in person field rides. How will that help dear leaders?

Whenever a company starts focusing too much on metrics like number of calls, KPIs etc it’s alarming. However, when they start implementing metrics like demanding an increase in the number of manager field rides per month it’s just downright idiotic. This is such an old school thought process. Numbers down=do more field rides. It makes no sense! The people making these decisions are so far removed from the reality of the field if they think this is what will make a difference. This tactic will back fire. They will lose good people and piss off doctors.
