In my day, plenty of white men were promoted into jobs for which they were not qualified. They got promoted because they went duck hunting w the boys or basketball or church. Some rose to the occasion and some failed. Why shouldn’t women and minorities get the same chance?

In my experience, promotions were often granted based on personal connections rather than qualifications. While some individuals proved capable in their roles, others struggled. It is only fair that women and minorities be given equal opportunities to demonstrate their abilities.

The most qualified candidate for a role should be selected based on their skills, experience, and ability to contribute to the company's success.
