Dear Mr. Keller

Shut your hole. I feel for everyone who worked their @sses off and came short. I posted the detailed payout and the S1 comp calculations and it was removed from CP. On that same post, I advised people to stay home and not work for Q3! I was spot on when it came to my prediction that the crappy comp plan was not going to pay many people. I was one of the fortunate ones to have gotten a bonus but felt bad for others who did not.

Wow we hired a winner here. Lets run this through
1) Posted details of comp plan - this is an internal document. Anyone impacted by it, has it so it should not have been posted. You let other people see it for what reason.
2) I advised people to stay home - you must not believe that this is the best option for PMO patients and only care about your bonus, even if you didn't care about patients which is obvious, you should at least care about the shareholders (which you are).
3) I was one of the fortunate ones.....that implies that you feel you didn't get paid because of your efforts but because of luck.................you are a walking contraindication.

We have a winner folks, AMGEN has hired the text book representation of what society thinks about our industry....selfish and greedy

Well Said!!!!! And he or she started off by saying "shut your hole." Really?

Totally agree. Resorting to "Shut your hole" when you're having a mostly civil discussion here immediately brings credibility to zero. Not to mention the ranting and raving about money, staying home all Q3, etc. No wonder our reputation has taken a hit over the past 10 years. This ingrate is a dead (sales)man walking...

See you in Maui!

1. Most sales rep don't know how to calc/predict their potential bonus. For S1, it was not straight forward and was not fair to reps who sold the exact total syringes for S1. Depends on Q1 results. You are not very math savvy.
2. I only do what is right for me first when it comes to compensation. "Best Option"? Sorry, I never drink the company koolaid. Every drug has it's place, every drug has risks and benefits, and I somehow found enough patients in my territory without telling my doc this is the best option. I even tell my doctors not to use Prolia on certain types of patients because one bad experience is not worth my future business. As for Amgen stocks, it has been stagnant for a very long time. Owned it 15 years ago. It has gone nowhere. My advice, buy something else!
3. Yes, I have been "lucky" in all my sales job in all different territories. LMAO!

Again, see you in Maui!

Probably with the no insurance coverage, ridiculous pre-auths, no EOBs, a huge price tag, and all the same reasons this summer that 70% of people didn't make the plan. Just admit it, it was a terrible plan and that's why people left and that's why they changed it.

Hey, I admit the forecast was wrong, but not the IC plan. The IC plan was extremely generous when you hit that 2nd step. Problem was the second step was out of reach because it was a bogus number to begin with. Even so, the poster who was whining about 5 syringes was obviously close enough to hit the 149. If you're that close and miss it, it's all on you, not the plan. You have to find a way to make it. That's sales. If you're a great rep, you've got the relationships to pull 5 syringes through, probably even more.

Not really dead man walking , just dead man with another Micro managed field ride, Geeezz I love those things they are so helpful and insightful, I think there needs to be at least 30 new mgr.s, You are so brainwashed , that is why you can't see the light of the day. awesome replys you bring nothing to the table but a Pompass attitude and a self righteous nose into the wind, you are perfect here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, see you in Maui!

Here we go again -
1) Now you are the authority speaking for "most sales reps" where do you get this from, I would imagine with your attitude and outlook you are the classic "black sheep" of the district. Do you often not get included in conversations, are you left alone at meetings, do only negative people talk to you. Those are some clues that you are viewed as a non-contributor to the team. From my experience, most reps know the comp plan as well as they know the clinical data, so I would have to disagree with you. You are still missing the point that you posted internal / confidential information to people who had the info.
2) I ONLY DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR ME........i think that statement says it all.
2a) You have owned the stock for 15 years and it hasn't done anything, I am afraid that you are the one that is "not math savvy". 15 years ago, the ranged between 13-16 dollars - it now is around 55. You also benefited a 2:1 split twice. Which means if you sold at 52 today you would have around a 89% return, not even adjusted for dividends. (Not bad, but since you have been "lucky" and not "good" at sales this amount may seem low to you.
3) Maybe this is why are bitter, not satisfied, or feel the need to bring others down - you don't have job satisfaction. Perhaps if you found a job where you feel your contributions are worthwhile and have an impact you might feel important / needed. Even if that is not the case, life is too short and precious to be doing something that you don't like.

I love it how logic prevails and shuts down the complainer. I am sure that you are going to get blasted for a few typing errors or words left, but your post was spot on.

But you forgot, micromgmt. Do the right thing and some of that other misc. BS. ???

I hope Mr. Keller can put a stop to this non sense of micromanagement and frequent ride alongsides. PLEASE get rid of the stupid validation process that Amgen uses for the last day of our sales meeting. The ranking of people based on how effective they do during the sale "workshop" with the role play scenerios. Really? What a BS exercise! It was useless, a waste on time, and resources. Do the right thing, get rid of these exercises. I would like more time spent for best practice sessions and district time to plan our territory for 2012.

When will we get ranking updates for all the contests? That is the only ranking sales people care about. Not some BS role play rankings at a sale meeting. I want the latest ranking of Chairmain circle, S1 contests, S2 contests, and any other contest. I want to know where I stand at all times. It is weird how Amgen does not operate this way. If we have the ability to give live ranking at a sales meeting, the contest ranking can't be this difficult. Right?

Anyone else want to tell the person why we have to wait for sales numbers? The reason we get sales nation feedback immediately is that they are based on test scores and details (pretty stupid contest) but feedback and scores are immediate.
