I'm sure if STJ reported the true issues with their devices, many more recalls and advisories would tarnish their name. You can't get any worse than denying a failing lead to the implanter and the patient, after several doctors report failure to deliver life saving therapies. People are dying from those leads still today. From a premature deletion? Doubt it. Always pointing a finger so the doc looks away from you. Shame shame.
 












Yes I know a few docs that will be cool with this. The guy who schedules 2 devices every day with the same rep he's had for 15 years and then goes golfing. The guy who gambles and the guy who is paid handsomely.

This is so old. Stj and mdt do not report like BSC. It's that simple. What do you think about all those atlas devices that came In dead? So the fact that stj didn't report means that's a better device???? Come on be serious here. BSC over reports simple as that. The last several BSC communications would NEVER have been reported by the other companies. Anyone that doesn't understand that is simply biased due to company loyalty.

Agreed. It doesn't matter which device fits which patient, just that the BFF gets his cut. Docs are puppets.

My customer who's cool with it mixes his devices pretty regularly. I've had a very slight majority, but I guess we'll see if that changes. He uses BSX ICD leads with all implants given the questions surrounding STJ -pending disaster while rep tells him not to worry, and MDT (splicing). He's fair to all, but time will tell.

BSC is brilliant. Once it became apparent that they were unable to manufacture a quality product....they smartly decided to begin flooding the airwaves with Dear Doctor Letters, advisories, recalls, software fixes, etc. etc....every misstep regardless of how insignificant would be reported. This not only became the underpinning for the "no one reports like we do" chatter, but the sheer volume of corporate communications has turned them in to white noise. Implanters and BSC reps laugh each time they release something new, and so comeptitive reps really only become part of the joke if they try to hold up BSC's track record as grounds for switching.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the World he didn't exist.
 












shorted ? are you talking about your prizm devices that shorted and had 33 recalls that killed the child that needed his jolt during a bike ride ?

BSX will catch this issue early in the very few patients that are affected, rather than discovering that the lead they assured the customer was totally fine shorted his patient's device and they couldn't receive life saving therapy.

Customers are totally cool with this latest information. Probably much more comfortable with this than your customer will be when that shorted device shows up in the lab.

bsx / gdt got caught selling defective devices many years ago and paid the piper for this stupid act.

is this icd built in house by bsx ? or is it wilson bad batch made ?
 


















If your claim is that you (BSX) over report the smallest thing, how bout those office lunches? I personally have not seen those reported. I did not see teaching to the full staff that ate that lunch. Do you report your vacations with the doc?

Really? You're going going to cry at 1:30 in the afternoon about a competitive rep buying an office lunch for in-service purposes? No wonder you're not in the lab.

Question - if stj and to a lesser extent mdt reported the way BSC reports how many communications would both have? In all honesty I've seen many trends in my years in my small corner of the country that were never communicated. You simply just don't get it. Sorry.

Ha! You are a funny robot. In services my ass. The Dr called you (uses you) because the pharma rep cancels the office lunch and he's too cheap to buy his own, so you come running like Jimmy John's! Sandwiches in hand for everybody. Receptionist to medical records personnel, 20-30 people who have absolutely no idea what a implantable device algorithm is, heck, even what product BSX makes. No educational materials, besides talking to the Dr about your upcoming boat trip. Not once but 3-4 times a month. I don't see it reported through your website. Strange. Just did your gen change, early battery depletion...who knows where you where (oh, providing lunch to your master) ! Keep thinking you are so much better than everyone else. You are replaceable. I assure you. Riff's are coming to the field. Maybe your Dr aka butt buddy can get you a job in the lab? Heck, maybe the hospital cafeteria, you are pretty good at taking food orders. No mustard please....
