So which one are you. A - wait until there are 50-100 failures then blame doc, then issue an official communication or B - don't say shit until the death count reaches 20 then pseudo communicate to 20% of customers then a year later issue class 1 recall after every financial institution has written an exposé to protect not the patients but rather the investors! Please do tell.

You just don't get it. In less than a year this device has had 2 "DEar Doc" letters. This is the future? If you bought a new car and received 2 letters within the first year from the manufacturer regarding significant component failures, you wouldn't feel concerned that maybe you bought a piece of shit? You wouldn't be asking for your money back?

BSX can not afford bad press on any of their products and I'm afraid they are facing major issues. You can't put a new product out there and then send out 2 dear doc letters and feel good about that....you just can't.

As a former Guidant / Boston Rep - I can tall you that any physician still implanting Boston products will be unfazed by these Dear Doctors...like battered wives...at this point they are in a state of horrified acceptance of their "husbands" version of the Truth and would not jump ship if Boston marketed an electrified dog shit shoveller. So, on top of this mindless cadre of implanting zombies they will foist SubQ on a few early adopters to boot, and grow a few points over the next few quarters.

Agree for the most part except for the growth theory. These pt's were going to get a BSX device from BSX friendly doc's anyway so it's tit-for-tat. A few give away devices were done as they targeted and trained a few implanters but that won't be sustained. With this latest news, any doc's who were on the fence will wait for the next generation if that ever occurs.
