I can't help but chuckle listening to this thread. Otonomy simply hired the wrong sales reps the first go around (Pharma reps aren't SALES reps). Now they have seasoned device reps averaging 6-10 years in the ENT space, who know their ENT surgeons personally, who know how to navigate a hospital, and who KNOW HOW TO CLOSE!!!

Otonomy has a permanent J-code that is getting paid! All one has to do is set up the meeting with the hospital admin and the home office. This can only be done if you have the surgeons ear (PUN intended) and know who to go after in the hospital. Interesting that while its all Doom and Gloom from the previous regime Otonomy's stock price has gone from $13 to $19 just since May. They're doing more with 6 reps in 2 months than the previous 35 did all last year!

To those of you that recently joined, you should have paid more attention. You should have called and asked those of us who experienced first hand what this group of clowns were doing on the C-Level and management team. The "non-sales reps" knew this was coming, look who is holding the bag now.

Good luck finding another device job, and if you are really going to hang around and sell Oshitprio, you'll need more than luck. You need a new brain.

Don't you know that Oshitprio is totally reimbursable? I bet every hospital and ASC is lining up to meet the new sales stars, approve, and implement Oshitprio as we stand here today in every account in the good ole USA. It's going to take over as the biggest blockbuster generic antibiotic every reformulated. They have super sales pros, real go-getters there now. After all they sold devices to ENT doctors, and that market is filled with the best of the best. Beyond the sales magicians recently hired, they have the best and brightest executives in the business. No doubt about that. What is remarkable is that for a company focused on products for the ear, they never listened to the people actually talking to the accounts.
